I posted on here recently about returning to work in a few months but I'm curious about something else - with all this going on I cannot contact my HR department for a little while.
i get paid on the 25th of every month. when I was pregnant, I took a months holiday and left on the 14th October 2019 and then my mat leave started on 13th November 2019. I was very lucky as at my company you get 6 months full pay, 3 month statutory and then 3 unpaid. my question is, however, due to my maternity leave starting on the 13th when would the statutory start if you see what I mean?
I always assumed it went like this;
6 months full paid; november,december, January, February, march and april.
3 months stat: may, june, July
3 months unpaid: august, september, october.
however, I've just realised that half of the month in november was actually holiday so should be calculated as half holiday half maternity so I'm now really confused from a money point of view. does this mean I'll get more than statutory in may as November didnt count as the start of my maternity leave pay?
this is important as it will determine when I'm thinking of going back
