Most days are fine, lovely even. The day whizzes by with loads of fun & laughter and it's amazing. BUT then there's some days which go on forever, nothing is right, LO is whingey and unhappy at everything. I try my hardest but some days are just painful. We are doing the bedtime routine now but he's fighting sleep and I just want to go and sit down and have some time to myself.

I feel like some days I'm going absolutely insane.

Not a single day so far has whizzed or been lovely, I am p'd off most of the time!

Isn't that just 'Life'? Peaks and troughs, highs and lows, good days and bad days? Pretty normal I think.

purpleme12 · 24/04/2020 19:14

yes i'm sick of it all. her behaviour has deteriorated massively with all the nothing that's going on and I don't have the mental energy to deal with it all.

Pinkybutterfly · 24/04/2020 20:05

I am loosing the will to live. If they are home with dad nothing gets done and he lets them run wild. Their behavior is so bad at the moment it's ridiculous. When I get home have everything to do plus they are super clingy because he didn't pay much attention to themAngry just feel like slapping the 3 of them lol

Dualipa · 24/04/2020 21:00

I feel better knowing I'm not alone. I always feel so guilty getting impatient or annoyed. My LO is only 15 months so hoped I would have more patience this early on !!

@Pickles89 Yes you are right, I don't know why I beat myself up so much for the lows when it's mostly highs anyway

@Dualipa

Because Instagram would like us to believe everyone else is perfectly happy all day every day, and if we're not we're failing.

Everything's exacerbated at the mo with all the general stress and being stuck indoors. What's really keeping me from killing my family is exercise (and I'm the laziest person you will ever meet!). Honestly if you find yourself getting ratty with him draw the curtains, drape some flashing Christmas lights around and have a living room disco. You'll release endorphins and that'll rub off on him so he'll (hopefully!) be easier to deal with after. If nothing else you won't be able to hear the whinging over the cranked-up cheesey pop. Grin

Dualipa · 25/04/2020 20:15

Well it's funny you should suggest that @Pickles89 as we've had a daily disco either in the garden shed or in our bedroom! It's brill we love it!

I've shouted at them for the first time. I've never shouted. I grew up in a shouty household so I've always been totally cool and dont raise my voice.
This week, I've shouted. I actually said "shut up".

We've sat down together and talked it through and all that but yes, the kids are starting to get to me.
