How often do you put your foreheads together

Motherofmonsters · 23/04/2020 20:32

Watching TV and I've noticed that couples always put their foreheads together.

I can't say that me and DH ever do it,

How often do you or is this just a TV thing

We used to, quite often, in the first year or so.

Now it's once in a blue moon but yes, we do do it. I like it.

iklboo · 23/04/2020 20:41

He's a foot taller than me. Even sitting down he's taller. So, never. Plus our noses & glasses would clash. And a cat would probably try to get between.

CoronaIsComing · 23/04/2020 20:42

Never Confused

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/04/2020 20:43

DD and I do. She likes the idea of exchanging mana. Never been to NZ, no idea where she got this idea.

DH and I never do. I'm level with his collar bone so he'd hurt his neck.

Pelleas · 23/04/2020 20:44

In all my 45 years I have never put my forehead together with anyone. I didn't even know it was a 'thing'.

PipGirl404 · 23/04/2020 21:05

It looks nice in movies but for some reason when I picture doing it with DH I get the boak. He has an oily forehead and it might slide onto my forehead ewwww Envy

TwoZeroTwoZero · 23/04/2020 21:13

Never. I do with dc2 sometimes but I don't like it. It makes my eyes cross and gives me headache.

CatBatCat · 23/04/2020 21:21

Yes because we both wear glasses and it's easier than heads side by side otherwise they get crushed

TerrorWig · 23/04/2020 21:38

I don’t think I’ve ever done this with a single person.

GlendaSugarbeanIsJudgingYou · 23/04/2020 21:44

Oh, now that I think about it DH and I do this quite a lot while hugging. Blush

He kisses my forehead, then leans his against mine for a few seconds while saying he loves me. It doesn't feel weird.

Is it really boaky? Oh no.

CorianderLord · 23/04/2020 21:55

We kiss a lot and often Schmush faces and touch foreheads, noses, cheeks. All the time.

We're 25 so maybe that's why

CorianderLord · 23/04/2020 21:55

Been together 7 years though

GlendaSugarbeanIsJudgingYou · 23/04/2020 22:05

We are 30 and 31 and have been together for 14 years.

Bluebooby · 23/04/2020 22:18

Actually DD and I do this a lot. I hadn't realised. I try and avoid getting too close to her father so I certainly don't do it with him.

Rebelwithallthecause · 23/04/2020 22:20

We miss a lot but when he gets really close to my face for a prolonged time I feel very uneasy as my eyes can’t focus and I get irrationally angry

RedRed9 · 23/04/2020 22:20

DP and I do. Not all the time but it happens.

@Bluebooby that’s so sad.

Rebelwithallthecause · 23/04/2020 22:20

Miss = kiss

Hotwaterbottlelove · 23/04/2020 22:34

Now that I think about it, we do it loads. Standing around, sitting on the sofa and in bed. I love his face and love having it as close as possible to mine.

JustStayHome · 23/04/2020 22:36

Afew times a week atleast

NaviSprite · 23/04/2020 22:53

Every night before he goes to bed DH will do this then a hug and kiss goodnight, dunno why but he likes doing it and I think it’s sweet. Together 6 years thus far Smile (31&33 if that means anything??)

Snaga · 23/04/2020 22:54

Never with my husband, often with my children.

My husband is convinced he'll get spots if anyone touches his face so it's not one of our areas of affection.

stellabelle · 24/04/2020 01:01

I'm 60 and I've never done this with anyone in my life. I had no idea that people did it.

BeetrootRocks · 24/04/2020 01:06

Never

It seems to be a thing in fanfic

But, never. Cant say I feel the need to.

Motherofmonsters · 24/04/2020 09:36

Very mixed responses, it seems to be lots or none at all.

We'll have to try it out.
