What do I want to buy from M&S food remotely?

Am in a shielding household, have someone going on a food run for us. They can go into an actual shop and get stuff! My brain has gone blank, I can’t see online what they have, but what lovely food do I want from M&S? It might be another month before I get another chance, help!

They do this popcorn that's covered in caramel and then dipped in chocolate. You definitely want some of that.

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 23/04/2020 13:10

Their cheese pasties are the best.

inwood · 23/04/2020 13:10

Picnic stuff, antipasti, olives, hummous, crackers, cheese straws, mini posh dogs, peri peri sliced chicken.

2 for £4 on the cake bite things in the plastic tubs.

Phizzy pig tails.

inwood · 23/04/2020 13:10

Just to clarify, not to go on an actual picnic, to eat the food at home!

Fsid00 · 23/04/2020 13:15

Runny scotch eggs

Tinned chilli con carne is very acceptable and you can add red pepper , tomatoes , kidney beans , garlic etc if you have them

Sn0tnose · 23/04/2020 13:24

Their fresh baguettes are beautiful, especially with some pork loin slices and some potato salad.

Ooh and Percy Pig ice cream!

Gatekeeper · 23/04/2020 13:25

Jesus- I want to eat everything on here

Wheresmrlion · 23/04/2020 13:55

Salted caramel and chocolate hot cross buns. Amazing. All the fruit, they’ve got big trays of huge strawberries at the moment. Fresh macarons, in the chilled desert aisle.

Their proper wafer thin ham, 3 for £7, it’s nice and dry and not wangy. Check the dates though.

3 for 7 deli bits - chicken and chorizo empanadas are my favourite. Bubble and squeak cakes
Pesto/spinach/pine nut pasta salad
Ham
Asian crispy chicken
The breaded chicken - southern fried or any really
Yes to some of their preprepared meats, the gammon etc
Percy pigs
Iced and spiced buns

Four cheese ravioli
Love it - got some yesterday and can't wait to have it.
You have to put extra Parmesan on of course! Wink

Had an email through yesterday reminding me of the M&S meal deal £12 for a deal for 2 people: main, side, dessert or cheese and bottle of wine or two soft drinks. It's a really good deal. From the choice on offer I;ve had the steak pie before or the rump steaks but there's a good choice. Re sides, I swerve the veggies, go for the chips, as I think they are better. Any of the puddings are good. The wine is very good too.

MbwaKali · 24/04/2020 15:47

Can’t believe no one mentioned their Macaroni Cheese- it’s delicious!!

nobabiesyet · 24/04/2020 16:09

I do hope that the poster will feedback and tell us what she had. And what she thought. I have Beef Teriyaki and a ready made Tiramisu to sample this weekend!

calllaaalllaaammma · 24/04/2020 16:22

Their grapes are particularly nice.

They do a really good apple pie

Their salmon is really good.

Thai green curry is superb. And I’ve just discovered a really nice dry rose wine for £6 a bottle!

@nobabiesyet Unfortunately they ran out of time today, so I have to wait until 2 weeks time. But now I want to eat all the food on this list and will certainly be making them prioritise M&S over my medication next time!
