Hi,

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

She likes useful things/things that will make her life better or easier

Works in an office job (when not in lockdown)
Rarely wears makeup so not makeup
Hasn't got many hobbies so maybe a present that could lead to a new hobby

Have you asked her if she has any ideas?

dawnpanda · 22/04/2020 18:27

She is open to anything but prefers gifts to money

Well that's flipping useless of her! Grin

I meant specifics... hmm. What sort of budget? 25 and trying to think of things I value here.

Kindle?
Would she like an activity type thing - cinema vouchers/afternoon tea (possibly not great currently though)?
Does she like plants/do you think she would like plants if she doesn't have any?
Cookery books?

I got a bullet journal notebook as a gift as Christmas, wouldn't have bought one for myself but I love it. I find it very relaxing to fill out and can be as creative/ simple as you want it to be. There are loads of videos on you tube about the bullet journal method if you think she might like that and could get some nice pens and stationery to go with it.

My one is similar to this

Stationery Island A5 Dotted Notebook – Sunflower. Hardcover Bullet Grid Journal with 180 Pages and Premium 120gsm Paper https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07THCMT1G/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_o9hOEbS7ER3E4

Gym/ exercise stuff? Yoga mat, gym bag, water bottle, wireless headphones etc?

How much are you looking to spend? Does she enjoy time indoors (not now, but in general), or is she quite sporty and adventurous? I really enjoy my Nintendo switch and animal crossing at the moment, but it's quite pricey if she isn't into that kind of thing (admittedly I am older than her by over a decade). Or something like a sewing machine? Crochet set? I make all sorts out of DS' old clothes and weirdly old duvets which usually have really nostalgic patterns on them; or an art set. I find it really theraputic, although it's not for everyone.

Something nice to wear that's a bit special, like Lucy and yak? Irregular choice shoes? Yoga stuff as there's plenty of free yoga workouts on YouTube?

A leather purse or card case.

Sunglasses, a nice case for them, and a sun hat.

Handbag.

Trendy up to the minute jewellery.
