Struggling with finishing my dissertation

It's 75% done. Just need to finish the commentary, do the referencing and format it all. (8000 words of creative writing is plus a 2k critical commentary.)

I just can't get any enthusiasm for it and I'm finding it a huge struggle. It's due in the second week of May so I have a bit of time but every time I look at it I want to cry.

The creative writing bit is fine but I have no idea what I'm meant to be putting in the commentary. It was never really taught to us and I'd been pushing for a lecture on it before everywhere closed. It's mostly done but I have no idea if it's any good (which is the root of the matter - I don't know if it's right so I don't want to work on it.)

Email your tutor and ask for guidance. Can you see previous dissertations anywhere?

Pick one task and make yourself do half an hour. Visualise whatever is stopping you as a cushion and sit on it.

It's not research based. I had to submit a 8000 word portfolio of (creative) writing and then produce a 2k commentary on what I've written.

But we've had no guidance on what it should include or how it should be formatted so I'm struggling.

Is the commentary like a personal reflective essay? This is often part of a dissertation
