Any tips for number writing practice?

“Home educating” DD (aged 5) in the very loosest sense of the word Confused

She’s bright and it’s quite easy so far but an ongoing problem is that while she’s great with adding and subtraction, she often writes the numbers back to front.

I want to help her with this. I’ve tried getting her to just practice over and over but unsurprisingly she gets bored of that very quickly.

I’m no teacher. I have no idea what I’m doing. Anyone got any ways/methods to try to help her out with this?

You could try writing them in a tray of sand or sequins, water and a paintbrush and write them on slabs in garden. You could even try out of play dough if you've got any.

Big piece of paper, lots of different coloured/types of pen and pencil. Graffiti the number all over the paper.

Practice writing the numbers with a finger in shaving foam/cornflour mix etc.

We had bath crayons and ds would write them over the tiles in the bathroom.

If you have a garden and some paint brushes she can 'paint' them with water on the fence or patio. Or use chalks.
