I have Nits - Help!!

Who would have thought the kids could get nits after being at home for 5 weeks but apparently they can take up to 6 weeks to be itchy etc.. who knew 🤷‍♀️ Despite regularly washing dd's hair I'd missed that she had nits until she started going crazy with an itchy head this morning. Turns out she and I both have them 🤮 and I'm freaking out massively because I don't do bugs/insects at all (I am a massive wimp)! Anyway dh got us some Lyclear and we treated all of us but dh was in charge of mine and I'm not sure his heart was in it so I'm not confident I've been treated properly. I need more stuff and I need to do it myself. What's the best one I can buy and how easy is it to do it myself? I've got a Nitty Gritty comb coming from Amazon tomorrow. Do I need to do all of us again? First time ever with nits in the house! If I didn't have such a massive ugly head I think I'd shave my hair off!! Help!!

This website is fantastic. Scroll down for which days you need to comb on.

They tend to lay eggs mainly along the hair line so concentrate using the nitty gritty comb and conditioner along that area especially at the nape of the neck.

Listerine works. Soak the hair and leave for 30 mins then wash out with conditioner using comb. Do conditioner for a few days to make sure you get them all.

My younger sisters have me them twice when I was in my late teens. I just dyed my hair (was doing it dark anyway) and this sorted it right out. No need for other treatments.

Nitwits and the nittygritty comb and my dds were completely gone in a couple of days. Nitwits gets the eggs as well.
Cheap tea tree conditioner ever other night for a couple of weeks with the nitty gritty comb just incase.
