My 14 year old DD wants to watch Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, should I let her watch this? I've never seen it before so I don't know.

Why don't you Google it op? I haven't seen it but I know she's from a reality show (towie?), and would presume your dd had watched that to know who she is? My guess is it's not as bad as towie.

As far as I can recall there’s no ott swearing, sex talk etc

It’s just about her day to day life, work etc

Mindless but harmless

No, definitely not like TOWIE, no shouting, fighting, swearing, snogging etc

Though she is an appalling role model should she google her (minimising the victims of her then boyfriend’s acid attack). I’d tell mine no and why for that reason but is down to personal preference!

@DaanSaaf

Hello, she knows her because we watch I'm A Celebrity and Ferne has won that before. And then today my DD seen the advert for this show and asked.

@LochJessMonster

That's good to hear. We have just watched the episode (first one of the series) that is available on catch up. I actually liked it and can't wait to watch the rest of the series. The 2nd episode is on tomorrow night.

@LochJessMonster

Good to hear that it is not like TOWIE.

@247SylviaPlath

As long as it is mentioned on the show then surely it will be fine.

I think it shows a nice down-to-Earth side to her, the one from I’m a Celeb rather than Towie

wendz86 · 21/04/2020 20:25

I’d say it’s fine for a 14 year old . Mainly about her being a mum etc .

Year6teacher754 · 21/04/2020 20:49

@LochJessMonster

Yes it does show a very down to earth and nice side to Ferne.

@wendz86

Yes we have watched one episode today and it is fine. Yes it is mainly about her being a mum.

@247SylviaPlath

Tbh, I would personally disagree, because she ISN'T an appalling role model!!
