So I have never been a massive exercise addict, but since the lockdown i feel lazier than ever. I do go for a daily walk on most days ( actually that's a lie, maybe on every other day...) and walk to the shop on a sunny day, but with my new found freedom of doing nothing and floating around in my PJ till noon, eating crap, baking and cooking more than during Xmas ; I feel relaxed, happy and fab. When I see people running past my house, I feel even better and do not feel the urge to do exercising at all, instead waching movies and doing some limited housework...very limited as don't want to overdo it at all Wink I might be the laziest women in England and soon to be the fattest.... please tell me I am not on my own and we can form a group once this is all over Wink

Same. I've been taking DD out for a walk to get some fresh air but I haven't been doing Joe Wicks, Couch to 5k or the 30 day Shred like everyone else on my Facebook seems to be doing. Can't be arsed.

HerRoyalNotness · 20/04/2020 20:34

I’m going for my regular jogs. Only 5/6km 2-3 times a week, and then a couple of bike rides to get the kids out. Which they normally refuse, except the toddler. She’s always up for a ride on the back of my bike, but every time she thinks we’re going to her friends house Sad

I also started a burpee challenge. Well not so much a challenge, but started at 10 a day and wanted to see how many I could do by x date. I hate burpees, but I can do 15 in a row now. My ‘friend’ did 50 a day for a month and it made a huge difference to her figure.

M0chaJoes · 20/04/2020 20:35

I've gone the other way op. Peloton a couple of times a week and I walk up to 15,000 steps a day. Makes me feel better

actiongirl1978 · 20/04/2020 20:36

I walked 5 miles before breakfast, did two hiit videos and mowed the lawn today. I love having more time to exercise Wink

HerRoyalNotness · 20/04/2020 20:36

And as hard as it is to be motivated to go out I do it as I’m already 25lbs overweight and if I do nothing well, it’ll only get worsen

TriangleBingoBongo · 20/04/2020 20:36

I’m going bonkers because I love exercise and am so limited in what I can do! I walk and run once, twice sometimes 3x a day.

I think lockdown shows many people didn’t lack time, as is often the excuse, but discipline.

At the moment our mental health is taking such a hammering that it’s so important to do whatever makes you feel good! Whether that’s getting out like me, or sitting around like you.

FlowerArranger · 20/04/2020 20:37

How old are you?

You can get away with this until about 40-50.

Thereafter you'll regret it...

TriangleBingoBongo · 20/04/2020 20:38

Also fuck Joe Wicks. I have gone from long distance runner to reluctant cyclist because I got a bastard prolapse after one goddamn video. Whether I had the prolapse before I don’t know. But I wasn’t symptomatic that’s for sure!

MysweetAudrina · 20/04/2020 20:39

I'm doing an hour yoga online at 7.30am and then a walk or run in the evening with dh and the kids once I have logged off from work.

MrsTerryPratchett · 20/04/2020 20:40

Also fuck Joe Wicks.

OK

Lovelydovey · 20/04/2020 20:42

I have less time (not more) as working full time from home plus trying to home school Ds1 and Ds2 (10 and 8). Often my exercise was part of my commute or school run and trying to schedule it is now harder. But I am now out running every day with dS1 - it’s hard work but doing my mental and physical health a world of good. Still love baking and hibernating too!

TwinkleMerrick · 20/04/2020 20:43

I've done nothing! I was doing exercise 3 times a week and walking a lot before lockdown. Now on lockdown with a 2 year old on my own as single mum. Done some toddler yoga and dancing around to silly music....that's it! I tried joe wickes and it ended in disaster with toddler screaming for my attention. Also a teacher so when DD goes to bed I have to do school work, setting and marking. After that the last thing I want to do is exercise, I've been going to bed at 9am!

Exercise can start after lockdown, right now I just need to survive day by day alone with a toddler hitting the terrible twos! ConfusedWink

RainbowBalloon · 20/04/2020 20:44

Oh MrsTp I’m there!
Also I have a toddler and a 6 year old with ADHD. I’ve never been so busy.

MaternityNurse007 · 20/04/2020 20:44

I am in my 30s ....you scared me now WinkSmile time is ticking. I love swimming but obviously can not practice that now so yeah. Those who walk, i don't feel much motivation ( i would avoid talking about running for now haha) other than I enjoy having a little look around in the park near by etc but get very board and demotivated just to walk for the sake of it for longer than about 30 min.

My exercise is walking round our huge Sainsbury's once a day.

RainbowBalloon · 20/04/2020 20:44

Seriously, I’m actually losing weight and I am one lazy fecker

Neveranynamesleft · 20/04/2020 20:45

What do you mean dont do exercise 'since' the lockdown.....
Hated exercise before the lockdown..and still hate it so no change for me Grin

FreeButtonBee · 20/04/2020 20:45

I had developed a pretty good spin habit pre lockdown. First couple of weeks were a bit rough but now got a lot better at factoring it into my day. My old studio does yoga, barre and strength classes (the last is basically jo wicks for grown ups 😄) so I do one or two a week. Then jo wicks 4/5 times a week with the kids and then a few walks and 1/2 runs. Not really hitting the small cardio levels but along with no breakfast during the eek, I am at lest not getting fatter!

MaternityNurse007 · 20/04/2020 20:48

TwinkleMerrick I am sure you are doing well so well done and remember lockdown isn't forever! Keep going Smile

Rainbowbaloon how???

Umnoway · 20/04/2020 20:50

I’m pregnant so honestly terrified to leave the house. In four weeks I’ve left the house twice to attend midwife/vaccination appointments and that is honestly it. I go in the garden every day for sunshine and fresh air but other than that, nothing. I daren’t go out for a walk anywhere because when I drove to those appointments the streets seemed absolutely rammed which surprised me to no end. So yeah, no exercise at all for me. I do YouTube yoga videos a couple of times a week but that’s it.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 20/04/2020 20:51

I'm doing the 30 day yoga thing online. The idea of running fills me with horror.

TW2013 · 20/04/2020 20:53

I haven't done much at all- been so busy but ds and I are going to climb Mt Snowdon in our garden (it is on a slope). Once we have done that we might move on to another mountain. Going to start tomorrow, maybe

FlowerArranger · 20/04/2020 20:53

Try this

Smile
TabbyStar · 20/04/2020 20:54

I'm doing more, and more variety, a class every day because there's so much more availability, whereas my gym is quite a drive away. I'm missing swimming though.
