Just for fun where would you live in Spain

Since lockdown I've sadly started to really enjoy watching a place in the sun, DH and I have always said we'd buy a flat in Majorca when we retire and keep a place in London end split our time.
Where would you choose to live in Majorca if you could and why? We know a few different areas but nowhere near well enough to commit to, although obvs this is all imaginary fun for the next 30yrs before we retire!

Spain- Salamanca, close second Toledo. Island, Menorca.

Somewhere on the coast north of Barcelona, towards Girona, but near the train line to get into the city.

Or in central Madrid.

I’d love a winter sun place in the Canaries too - Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura.

I’ve not been to anywhere in Spain I’d want to go back to, so nowhere there for me

Mojacar, just north of the tourist destinations, in the hills.
Beautiful landscape and barely touched by the tourist as can be quite baron in places.

Where have you been and what didnt you like about it?

Madrid! The best city I have been to. Relaxed and so much to do. Romw is beautiful but too busy in the summer for me.

We loved San Sebastián and I loved driving round the south by tarifa and Cadiz. I've been to soller as a child and just had a google as some PPs had mentioned snd now trying to convince DH that we need to go late summer before DC2 arrives!

I’ve been mentally planning a long trip around the bits of Spain I haven’t been to for when the madness is over.

Oooh I'd go for Valencia or San Sebastien. Love both for completely different reasons. Do love the islands too, but they always feel a bit "too"touristy, and if I were going to live somewhere foreign, I'd prefer to be mainland.

Probably Palma for living, Pollenca for a holiday home.

Galicia for me. I love everything about it.😍
