Exercising in pjs or normal clothes

I've seen some simple exercises in a magazine - stretching and light weights. I don't own any exercise stuff (or at least I've none that fits me) could I just do it first or last thing in my pjs?!

I don't think I'd even need to put runners on as there's no bouncing about.

I'd just feel weird putting it on for 15 minutes!!

I would but then shower and change the pjs for sleeping. Or just do it in underwear maybe?

hopeishere · 20/04/2020 18:33

Blimey underwear might be a bit much!! I'd definitely need to pull the curtains!!!

Pj's are fine. Have you got any normal leggings or anything?

Elieza · 20/04/2020 18:41

If your bust needs support fling on a bra and wear whatever you like or nothing at all as you wish.

Just keep the blinds/curtains closed or you may find you have an audience Grin

No I don't own any normal leggings.

I often do yoga or Pilates first thing in the morning and wear my PJs, then shower and change as normal.

squishedgrapes · 20/04/2020 18:56

Just wear something you're comfortable in. In your own home it doesn't matter. You'll realise what you need as you get fitter.

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 20/04/2020 19:54

When I exercise at home I do it in my PJs in the morning before showering and dressing.

CountFosco · 20/04/2020 19:57

I just wear something comfy if I'm doing yoga. Regularly do it in pyjamas (I don't sleep in them). If it is just stretching then you won't need a sports bra.

IFancyANamechange · 20/04/2020 19:58

I exercise first thing so do it in my pyjamas then get ready for the day.

Works for me!

Elouera · 20/04/2020 19:59

OP- are you doing the exercises at home, or in the local park? Grin

I'd certainly need a support bra, but my PJ's would be far too hot to exercise in. Do you have a partner? Could you wear one of their T-shirts? For 15mins, I'd either just wear my underwear or a bra and cool nighty.

KittenVsBox · 20/04/2020 20:05

I've been doing Joe Wicks with tye kuds in my PJs.
Throw on an exercise bra, do the session, then shower after I've set them off on schooling.

I dont think I could do it in my PJs before going to fed tho. Exercise, shower, bed for me.

I do gentle exercise in PJs before bed, or sometimes sweatier exercise in PJs and then shower and put them in the wash. I have proper exercise gear, and sometimes I feel like my jammies aren’t stretchy enough for some moves and I wish I had put proper leggings on, but it doesn’t matter much.

It’s much more important that you do something then that you buy all the proper gear.
