Anyone seeing how much they can get away with without removing those dreaded chin hairs Grin

No! I hate them and spend my evenings running my hands over my face as I watch TV. If I find one I run up stairs and shine a good strong torch over my chin to locate it and pluck it! I have a regular just sticking out of my skin, stubble but too small to get. I’m waiting!

ZoeandChandon · 20/04/2020 16:54

I had some thick black chin hairs zapped with IPL. Worked really well. Now I’m older I’ve got fluffy blonde peach fuzz instead and immac it usually. Being a bit lazy at the moment 😁

smiften · 20/04/2020 17:03

CatsMother, I do exactly that, though I have an angle poise lamp aimed at a 10x zoom mirror waiting.

It's so infuriating when they're a tiny bit too short, and so brilliant when they're not.

Also like catsmother. And of course, once you've got it out you have to stab yourself on the hand with it ....

smiften · 20/04/2020 17:53

hello, oooohhhh.

chocolatespiders · 20/04/2020 17:55

No I cant leave them I am too obsessed!

janj2301 · 20/04/2020 18:56

I also have odd eyebrow hairs that i swear grow several inches over night

MrsFionaCharming · 20/04/2020 21:35

I let mine grown for the first 2 weeks of lockdown, then sat in front of a well lit mirror, and plucked them all out onto a piece of white paper. Was very satisfying to see the little pile at the end.

CatsMother66 · 20/04/2020 21:55

@hellolittlebaby Yes! I have to stab my hand to prove how strong they are!!

JohnFinlaysNewTeeth · 20/04/2020 22:09

I had ignored a few. Then I looked in the good mirror and had to crack put the facial epilator. It was horrendous.

QuinceSavedMyLife · 20/04/2020 22:13

No it would annoy me too much. Once i feel one i can't rest til I've got the epilator/tweezers out.

SignOnTheWindow · 20/04/2020 22:15

@hellolittlebaby oh, god, I thought I was the only one who did this!

I'd never have mine zapped - I enjoy pulling them out too much.

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 20/04/2020 22:29

If you really want to test its mettle you stab your lip with it. Grin would never wax them, far too satisfying to pluck. There's a video on youtube of someone plucking a guys stubble. It's really calming to watch actually 😂

Rubychard · 21/04/2020 01:09

Thought I was the only one with the lamp and the magnifying mirror Grin

avamiah · 21/04/2020 01:29

I am obsessed with top lip hair , i put veet cream hair remover on and actually love watching all the little hairs gradually come to the top of the cream( you know when you see all the dark hairs) haha .

ifIwerenotanandroid · 21/04/2020 01:53

I use the springy thing on mine, but I've let it lapse instead of doing it every day, & then it occurred to me that when I go out I could wear a mask 'for health reasons' & no-one would know.Wink

Lalala205 · 21/04/2020 01:56

Oooh face pube hair! 😒 If I let them grown out enough I'd probably sport a rather fetching beard. I tend to pluck with my nails and work on any I find as and when. I'm unsure what to do when they decide to spread out to join my nipple hair and eyebrows. I think I'll finally opt for a throat threading when salons reopen... Always been a bit too scared before now.

Lalala205 · 21/04/2020 01:59

Do the springy things actually work? Do you need some form of technical expertise to use them or just roll it on your skin?

ifIwerenotanandroid · 21/04/2020 02:12

Lalala205, it's easy, though it took me a while to get the courage to try, as I didn't understand what to do. You need to bend it into a U shape & roll it over the skin. Look for videos on youtube. For the money (about a pound, though that goes up a lot if you try to buy more than one), it's brilliant. It doesn't pick up longer hairs, though, so if you don't do it for a while you'll need tweezers.

ladybird69 · 21/04/2020 02:22

Whats worse than chin hair? Coarse grey chin hair!!! I could honestly grow a fantastic goatee most men would be proud of! It’s a full time job keeping on top of it 😕

bellsbuss · 21/04/2020 02:26

I'm constantly feeling my chin to check new hairs, I now have tweezers all over the house and when I feel one I have to get it straight away. My best plucking spot is in the downstairs loo as it has the best light. The satisfaction when you pluck a really stubborn one is amazing. Mine are like cheese wire and I joke to my sister that I could strangle someone with one if I grew it long enough. I get a couple coming through on my neck now.

eaglejulesk · 21/04/2020 02:44

@CatsMother66 - Ha, ha - me too, just dashed away in an ad break to attend to it!
