Are feature walls still a thing?

I'm fed up of my white living room and wall some colour on the walls but probably / maybe not the whole room. Can I still do one wall or is that a bit dated now? I'm talking paint not wallpaper.

If so any suggestions would be great!

I think it totally depends on how it’s done. Both of these are taken from google and the red one (imo) looks dated and hideous. The green is soft and modern and stylish.
But if you like it, fuck what other people think. You’re the one living with it. We have floral brown and orange carpets on our stairs (from the 70s) because we love the carpet that was here when we moved in. We get called grannie off friends, but I’d rather that then the boring bland grey monstrosities that they live in Grin

Oh and I think it’s more modern to call them “accent walls”

Our living room is half and half , so we were going to have a feature wall but in the end we went for grey below the dado and white on top all the way round . But then in our baby girls room we have done one Grey wall and the rest white. We must be dated too at the age of 25 🤣🤣

@GaaaaarlicBread I like your studded sofa. I'd been eyeing that up but it won't fit in my lounge 😞

Thank you @TrickyKid and @ItsLateHumpty We love it and definitely don't think it looks old fashioned and stuffy 😀
