Chest and Back acne

Hi everyone

I'm looking for some serious advice

I've struggled with acne on my back and chest since my early teens (roughly 15 years now). I've tried everything, and I mean everything, but to no avail sadly. I've tried:
Spot focused cleansers, I couldn't even count how many.
The pill (several types)
Acne antibiotic from the doctors
Acne creams and lotions from the doctors
Masks
Glycolic avid
Aha/bha
Sudocrem
Soap and water with a washcloth or shower puff
And many many more...
Things have definitely improved but I still have at least 5/6 active spots at a time. I'm covered in scars (which I can live with). I also have lots of small blackheads across my chest which won't go away. I'm prone to spots in random places too, down my arms and lower back/belly.

This is really getting me down, I have managed to beat severe depression and anxiety however this remains a constant in my life that affects my self esteem, I can wear certain clothes or go swimming.

I know this is a small issue in the scheme of things but any advice, please...

Do you see a baby in your short-term future? If not (or not in the next 12-18 months at least), I'd go back to your GP and ask for an onward referral to a dermatologist with a view to getting a prescription for roaccutane.

Thanks for the suggestion @CatOnLaptop
Because of the history of depression I've always been concerned about retinol
