Have you gave it a good rub? 🧞‍♀️ 🧞‍♂️

OneHippoOnThePhone · 19/04/2020 22:22

It looks like a babies bottle scaled down.

Ginkypig · 19/04/2020 22:23

Is it open at both ends?

AndromedaPerseus · 19/04/2020 22:24

It’s a Victorian baby’s feeding bottle

Gibble1 · 19/04/2020 22:24

Has the bottom bit got a hole in it too? It looks like it could maybe be a pie topper?

FelicityBeedle · 19/04/2020 22:26

It does look like an old baby bottle, but it seems too small

fuckinghellthisshit · 19/04/2020 22:28

Exactly my thoughts! It's far too small thou

I think it would've been for smelling salts

KatyMac · 19/04/2020 22:32

A baby's bottle for a Victorian dolls house?

Seeline · 19/04/2020 22:32

I had one like it for a doll - don't know why or how or where it came from, I'm definitely not that old!!

GameofPhones · 19/04/2020 22:34

There are bottle collectors' forums on the internet who might be able to identify it.

Ship in a bottle, just without the ship?

UselessTrees · 19/04/2020 22:35

Seems like toy glass baby bottles were a thing. Here's a very similar one for sale on Etsy

sestras · 19/04/2020 22:38

Crack pipe?

Embracelife · 19/04/2020 22:39

Maybe for Victorian baby doll ? Grizzly

There do seem to have been dolls' size feeding bottles of this type made

I can't find one that looks exactly like this (I don't think there is any writing on it?), but here are a couple of related things:

TrainspottingWelsh · 19/04/2020 22:41

No idea, but I remember some similar in a glass cabinet when I was little. 80's, but no idea if they were brand new or antiques then

PammieDooveOrangeJoof · 19/04/2020 22:43

Where did he find it? I thought crack pipe too...

fuckinghellthisshit · 19/04/2020 22:43

Brilliant! Thank you all! :)

He found it when he was turning our field. We are on such a steep gradient we have to do it manually and it turns up all sorts of bizarre treasures!

KellyHall · 19/04/2020 22:46

Where did he find it??

Didn't those crackheads in Salisbury find that nerve agent in a perfume bottle?

Thelnebriati · 19/04/2020 22:58

fuckinghellthisshit have you ever been over the field with a metal detector or dowsing rods?
