Microwaving burgers before frying?

MorrisZapp · 19/04/2020 13:36

Our oven and grill are currently broken. I did burgers last week in the frying pan, but this wasn't ideal as they were quite dark on the outside before the centre was cooked.

Could I put them in the microwave next time to start them off to cut down lengthy frying time?

I'd flatten them out.

Squish them down so they’re thinner before frying

Squish them thinner and put a lid on the pan for a few minutes.

either squish them flatter or cut through them so you end up with two thin burgers from each one
