Season Ticket Refunds

Has anyone else not received their season ticket refund? Husband took his into the station before the schools closed (that week) and was told it would take 14 days. He is really panicking that his £7k has disappeared :(

He has a receipt for the original pass and the surrender but cannot get hold of anyone to find out what is going on.

Anyone any ideas? His is with London North Western and he has emailed but no response to that either.

I applied for mine online on 18 March. I got a call yesterday asking for my card details to refund it to.

Unfortunately he did his in person before it all kicked off, they have card details and our address but the form didn't request a phone number (paper form the station staff filled out)

But that's good, it means they are working with a backlog.

He is so worried as it is such a large sum of money.

Hope yours is back with you soon!

I got mine through yesterday (spent it all by now though) - but I've been chasing around various departments to get the right bloody contact address since literally lockdown started. I got told could be 28 days to get mine through when they finally approved it - it took a week and a half for the money to come back. I buy mine monthly - had one month that was due to start the day university closed down, and they refunded that full month plus a couple of days at the end of the previous one I'd not travelled for (just the way my uni days fall and the fact I'd skived a bit of lectures as the numbers started to rise).

They needed to cancel my smartcard to do it though so I need to get a new one of those for the next time I buy a ticket though (it only worked on the ticket barriers about 10% of the time anyway though wretched thing).

Mine was East Midlands Railway btw - they're just absolutely innundated.
