Another irritating advert

i know, I'm sorry. But having not much else to think about other than worry, things like this are assuming enormous proportions in my life!

It's that #5 ways to wear, swishy skirt one.

But it isn't really 5 ways to wear, is it? It's just wearing a skirt in different places. If it were worn as a dress, or hoiked up and worn as a mini then pulled down to be a maxi, then draped over a shoulder as a toga and then worn as a poncho...THAT would be 5 ways to wear it. Just putting on different shoes and wearing it in town or the country or in the office doesn't make it 5 different ways!

Oh hell, hand me a grip someone...

You need a grip.

So you can stab it in the leg of the person responsible for the new Nationwide advert.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 18/04/2020 13:23

It isn’t even a nice skirt.

Zaphodsotherhead · 18/04/2020 21:41

It isn't is it, Judas? It's just a normal old-lady skirt with pleats. It's not even got enough fabric in to be really 'swishy'.

Not sure I've seen the Nationwide ad, thecats. I usually manage to avoid most ads - except for anything that comes on during Midsomer Murders of an afternoon. Which means I also have a hearty loathing for June and her fucking parsnips.

I can't bear the Vax advert. A man and woman take it in turns to tell us how great it is. Then they keep saying after each others description, "What does that mean?" It goes on and on....

twatbags · 18/04/2020 21:48

The tampax advert is cringe! I just shout "Fuck off" everytime it comes on. I think it's lockdown getting to me 😂

twatbags · 18/04/2020 21:49

Oh I'm while I'm on one... the eBay one with the "94 faithful seconds " ... my 9 yr old DD keeps asking what does that mean ...... 😂

Zaphodsotherhead · 18/04/2020 21:54

Oh oh and the Vanish one with the bloke and the 'audience' who ask questions like 'but what about odour?' And we are supposed to believe from the demonstration of ironing a t shirt with a bit of blotting paper, that the Vanish has done away with all smells! Grrrrrrr....
