And I am going on holiday to Iceland. I have wanted to for years and years.

Visit my parents.
Rearrange cancelled plans with friends and with dh and ds.
Book as many holidays as financially possible for next year and some weekends away. Start planning Disneyland for 22 or 23.
Arrange some play dates for ds, and take him out for some nice days out.
Go to the park and play with ds for as long as he wants followed by lunch in a cafe
Go to a shopping centre and wander round.
Sit in a cafe for a long time with a book and large flavoured latte.
Go to work in the office and chat to all my colleagues.

I'm going to visit MIL and just talk with her for as long as physically possible! I haven't seen her since we told her I was pregnant, and I can't wait for her to "see" bump. She doesn't use a smart phone or computer, so we've had to make do with voice calls.

thismeansnothing · 18/04/2020 10:15

Hopefully get a job.... Been made redundant and can't get a job for love nor money.

Go far a long walk at the seaside and get fish and chips.

Join the gym and hammer it.

BlindAssassin1 · 18/04/2020 10:43

Go for a swim. Just an hour in the pool alone, would be bliss.

I've got a list of wants and needs for the garden center....bedding plants, hanging baskets stuff, new shears....

I want some summer shoes. Nothing is getting delivered here right now, no post even. Just some decent black flip flops (which I will hide from the bloody dog who chewed the last pair).

A trip to the fancy wine shop, pay more than is sensible for a decent bottle of red and indulge in it with DP.

Run into the sea and play on the beach with the DC.

PennyArrowBar · 18/04/2020 10:46

My dad's planning a party at my Mam's where we just drink champagne, eat good food and hug one another! He wants to get my DS a big climbing frame for their garden and I can't let myself imagine it happening in case we lose him or my mum (sorry, morbid)

ladybee28 · 18/04/2020 10:52

Reunite with DP, DSS and DDog, and go for a long walk along the beach, barefoot, hand in hand. Quietly.

Continue in semi-lockdown to continue to protect myself and the people I love as much as I can. I don't think there's going to be an 'all over' - I think there's going to be a 'something different'.

Smile at strangers more.

Probably have a good cry of relief.

One of the first things I’m going to do is hug two close friends who are frontline NHS. One in particular works in critical care and is having an awful time.

I’ll visit my parents, take the dc anywhere they want to go (within reason!) and spend a lot of time in cafes and restaurants.

Freddiemercurysjeans · 18/04/2020 11:57

My FIL has dementia and respiratory difficulties. MIL is also 70plus and at risk. His normal routine is to go on the minibus each day to get a paper. In order to stop him from doing this we have taken over the paper run and have also been picking up various other bits. The money they are giving us for this is going in a pot and when this is all done we are taking everyone for a lovely meal with the savings from the pot. Can't wait.

Whaddyathinkofthis · 18/04/2020 12:08

Go on the trip to see my DM which was supposed to be in April but had to be cancelled. She lives in Spain but in an isolated region with one of the lowest infection rates in Spain so hopeful can get there in September.

Bakedpotatoandgin · 18/04/2020 12:16

Hug my friends in lock down across Europe, for some reason the distance makes it worse. Go and see my grandparents. Go on a camping trip with an old friend which we planned to do every year. Go to the supermarket and buy something non essential like biscuits or a sausage roll just because I can. Start volunteering at Scouts again in person.

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 18/04/2020 12:18

Go buy a whole new work wardrobe in a dress size (or 2!) larger. Anyone else struggling with weight gain from doing very little exercise?

I will remove all the pencil cases and printed worksheets and books from the dining room and return it to a place to eat meals.

I will meet my friend for a coffee and chat.

I will book to have hair cut, other hair waxed off and eyelashes stuck on.

I will book a babysitter and go get squiffy and eat food neither of us have cooked.

Whaddyathinkofthis · 18/04/2020 12:35

Anyone else struggling with weight gain from doing very little exercise?

Tbh, I've lost 6lb - i find it easier to eat well at home.

Joyfulincolour · 18/04/2020 12:37

Make more of the weekends by driving to the coast, even if it’s 2 hours away. I’m dreaming of Wells & Southwold.
Meet up with friends for coffee/afternoon tea.
Invite friends and family round for meals esp in the summer.
Go for a fabulous Sunday roast.
Keep up my new found maintenance of nails, hair and skin. Wearing make up and painting my nails makes me happy.
To continue to wear colourful clothes - again, this makes me happy. 😃

BrassicaBabe · 18/04/2020 12:37
