I'm wanting to treat myself to some new makeup specifically blush and highlighter but it's so overwhelming looking online as there's so much choice and you can't see the colours properly. Please can you recommend/list your favourite makeup mainly highlighter/blush? (I'm pale so please let me know if your favourites would be suitable)

I'll start. I am not very adventurous and currently use:
Revlon colorstay foundation
Collection lasting perfection concealer
Benefit hoola bronzer
Benefit coralista blush or Rimmel pink rose
Benefit goof proof brow pencil (think that's what it's called)
Maybelline lash sensational mascara
Urban decay Kristen Leanne highlighter
Lips varies daily but most days nyx butter gloss

My only 'must have' is Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. It's the only thing where I'd start to panic if I was running out. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for when it comes to foundation, but anything else can be bought on a budget. My favourite blusher, for example, is from Primark!

I always find Benefit a bit overrated, if I'm honest. I like your choice of Urban Decay highlighter Smile

Bourgeois little pink pots are beautiful blushers... But I think they have stopped trading recently in UK and Ireland?

I also recently bought the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette because of recommendations on here, and I love it!

And then my top 3 foundations are Mac ProLongwear, Nars Radiant Longwear, and YSL All hours long lasting foundation. I used to wear EL Double Wear but I did start to find it too heavy. The others I have named are full coverage but less heavy

Estée Lauder double wear foundation

Urban decay sin eyeshadow
Max factor mascara
Urbana's decay or MAC lipsticks
Nyx waterproof eye primer
Max factor matte face primer
Nyx matte setting spray
Maybeline liquid eyeliner black
Rimmel bronzer
It and decay blusher and highlighter

That's my makeup bag of my daily must haves 😊

I've tried a few samples or the Estée Lauder double wear after hearing loads of good things about it but it just didn't work with my skin, have tried lots of high end and high street foundations but always end up going back to revlon. I find a lot of them are tailored towards oily skin where as I have quite dry skin

Elizabeth Arden flawless finish foundation a block which I squirt some Loreal infallible onto mix up with egg sponge and apply. Use Loreal concealer or YSL.

Nars orgasm liquid blush, just love the light tint of it which gives you a glow.

Estee Lauder cheeky pink eyeshadow and Estee Lauder sumptous extreme mascara.

Code cosmetics illuminating shimmering powder bronzer my favourite.

So many deals, big discounts at the moment so I have been stocking up, roaming around John Lewis and Estee Lauder online.

I'm loving revolution for highlighter, blush and bronzer at the moment.

Lessstressedhemum · 17/04/2020 21:34

KVD tattoo liquid eyeliner
Nars Orgasm blush
Jeffree Star liquid lipstick
Fenty beauty highlighter
Urban decay perversion mascara
Fenty dewy foundation
The ordinary serum foundation
Julia's Place eyeshadow palette

ginlover5 · 17/04/2020 21:41

Thanks for the replies so far! Will definitely look into some of them, can I ask is the Nars orgasm blush very glittery? The colour looks lovely but not keen one very glittery/shimmery ones. I don't mind a slight shimmer though

Nars, no not glittery or particularly shimmery, it just gives you a glow, hard to explain. Meghan Markle wears it I believe.

Lessstressedhemum · 17/04/2020 22:43

It's got a slight gold shimmer to it but it's not obviously shiny. It doesn't look like a highlighter or anything.

ginlover5 · 18/04/2020 11:11

So I've ordered the Nars orgasm blush and the too faced bronzer in chocolate milk. I get a lot of people mention the Nars sheer glow foundation does anyone know if that's good on dry skin and how the heck do I find the right shade? I use 180 sand beige in revlon so want the same shade

This www.matchmymakeup.com worked well for me in finding the right product shade in a new brand to me. You put in what you currently use and it will match you to a suggested shade in a new product.

HeartyGreenSalad · 18/04/2020 12:05

YouStupidBoy you read my mind. I was just about to ask if anyone could remember the link 😄

ginlover5 · 18/04/2020 12:07

@YouStupidBoy that's so helpful thank you!

Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation

Its a recent discovery but couldn't live without it now.

Probably also:
Ancient Urban Decay 'Gash' eyeshadow which is used as a blush and my absolute favourite.
KVD Basket Case eyeliner
KVD Palette
MUA Coconut Primer
