Could nits be eradicated?

If all families who have head lice get rid of them during lockdown, they won't have anybody to jump onto, so can we look forward to them becoming a thing of the past?

The sort of parents who don't treat nits aren't going to start in lockdown.

So sadly I think they won't be.

Why would all the families with nits get rid of them in lockdown? You're assuming all parents will care and will look and will treat.

It would be great though wouldn't it? Same with thread worms!
