Carole Baskin.
Killed her husband, wacked him.
Can’t convince me that it didn’t happen.
Fed him to Tigers, they snackin’.
What’s happening’.
Carole Baskin.

I love this so much!

I’d like to watch it - and Netflix keeps suggesting it to me - but the “Warning: animal cruelty” at the beginning puts me off. Does it show tigers getting killed or anything like that?

OnlyJudyCanJudgeMe · 17/04/2020 15:57

Oh it does @bloodyhellsbellsx it sure does!

Trump is “re-evaluating” Joe’s sentence.....

fourpeas you need to watch it to believe it.

Carol fuckin' Baskin, I was with her right up to the salmon oil comment Shock

My children introduced my husband and me to this recently and we watched with increasing incredulity.

Every episode seemed to introduce someone or something more extreme than the last. Some of the people are seriously scary and it was hard to believe that it was actually a documentary rather than fiction.

stopandListen · 17/04/2020 16:51

I started watching but was too scared to continue in case they show animal cruelty.

LolaSmiles · 17/04/2020 16:55

Others have summed it up, but she's just another person who runs a big cat zoo/sanctuary and profits from it.

Carole Baskin also has an army of volunteers who run her place, all in different coloured shirts based on whether they've levelled up.

I'm not convinced she's all smiles to be honest.

fourpeasinapod · 17/04/2020 20:26

Thanks everyone for summarising it for me. I was so confused by what people on Facebook were talking about!

I think me and DH ought to sit down and watch this some time soon - sounds a bit grim but very intriguing!

I watched it all but just didn't get what was so amazing about it. To me, it's just an average documentary about nutters with extreme lives. It dragged on and on and everyone in it has no self awareness or common sense. Carol might have killed her husband but he sounded like a dick so who cares. Or maybe he got on a plane to Costa Rica and was murdered there. Either way I stopped caring about an hour into it. Beautiful animals though.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 18/04/2020 15:07

@dayswithaY

I don’t think it’s meant to be particularly award-winning or memorable. Personally apart from Louis Theroux documentaries I don’t watch anything like Tiger King so for me, and I suspect a lot of others at the moment, it’s just a very welcome distraction from the shit that’s going on at the moment. It’s so far from coronavirus worries that it’s just the job.
