Abnormal cells - colposcopy’s still going ahead?

Hi, I had an abnormal smear 2 years ago and was referred for a colposcopy,, I came on that morning and the biopsy was no good for analysis so they referred me for another appointment 6 months later, I went to that appointment and they said there was no point in them doing anything as the lab wouldn’t test it due to previous appointment 6 months before so to wait for my next smear, my next smear was a year later, just got the results, abnormal cells, HPV and referred for a colposcopy, should have the appointment through in 2 weeks.
Now I’m worried that a) this has been going on for 2 years!!!! Presumably whatever is going on is now worse than it was? And b) if they want me to go in amongst Coronavirus etc does that mean it’s worrying, but on the other hand if they cancel it again it’s going to go on for even longer which after 2 years already surely wouldn’t be a good thing either?!
I’m quite stressed, has anyone got any pearls of wisdom they could offer me?
