Garden Paint

When are we going to be able to buy garden paint again? It is so hard to get hold of, and my half finished garden is making me grumpy.

I don't want the dark wood / forest green colours that usually come in big cheap buckets. I want pretty pastels (a nice sage green and cream).

I've spent more time than I like to admit waiting to get onto the Wickes and B&Q websites, only for it to be out of stock, or in stock but no delivery slots. Little independent websites are either out of stock, shut, only selling at much more expensive options, or have huge minimum orders (£100+ minimum order!!).

It would be a great time to support our local decorating shop (free next day local delivery too), but they only have very limited stock of external paints, and not what I'm looking for.

I know I just need to be patient, but I'm sulking. Has anyone had any success anywhere?

I have just bought some pale sage green spray garden paint from amazon. Have you tried on there?

BentNeckLady · 17/04/2020 11:42

Wilko sell it :)

Download the B&Q app. No waiting.

Sorry just reread they are out of stock!

We got click and collect on it the other day - maybe just check regularly?

Or B&M/Home Bargains might have it

Stompythedinosaur · 17/04/2020 12:29

I was able to get something I needed (roof felt) by going to the b&q near my work rather than the one close to home (am a nurse so still in work regularly). No chance there's another b&q you could try.

Cheers all.

I've seen some lovely colours on the Wilko website but they're all saying in store only. B&M and Home Bargains seem to be in store rather than online too and I'm stuck at home at the moment.

I've struggled with Amazon, they seem to have little expensive tins, but I've got a huge amount to paint so looking for larger tubs / lower prices (approx £15 per 2.5 ltr tub).

Thanks for the heads up about the B&Q app, I'll download that and keep checking.

Homebase has Ronseal brights

Literally just spoke to a friend about this - she did a click and collect with Toolstation for a sage green garden paint recently.

oatlyexhausted · 17/04/2020 13:02

Fabulous, thank you @YourDaughter

Finally managed to place an order through Homebase. Up to 21 days for delivery but I'm happy that it should be on its way.

Best of luck to anyone still hunting. It pays to keep re-checking the websites each day, even if it does drive you crazy.

Glad you got it sorted. I ordered mine last week - can’t wait for it to come so I can get painting! 😁
