Anyone else applied for a mortgage holiday?

I applied for a mortgage holiday 3 weeks ago for my HSBC mortgage and I'm still waiting to hear from them. Obviously they'll be dealing with a very high number of applications but their website said - and still says - it should take 7 working days to hear back. It also asks customers not to call as they're dealing with a high volume of calls.

It's been 14 working days now and the next payment is due the week after next so just wondering how long it took for other people to find out. Also, if you have been given a mortgage holiday, did they just tell you or did you have to provide additional information?

I got one from Scottish Widows. It took less than two weeks and was very straightforward. I applied online and then they wrote to me to confirm it was accepted. I did not have to provide any information.

I think it would be entirely reasonable to call them in these circumstances. You’ve waited double their quoted time. Good luck. Hope it comes through soon.

I applied to HSBC on the 30th of March and they rang me yesterday and approved it.

My payment was due on the 1st. They were really nice about it I just had to tell them why I want it (furlough etc) when did you apply? You must be on the list soon

@Jimdandy I applied 27th of March so fingers crossed I hear soon. If I haven't heard by Tuesday I'll call them.
