Dairy Farmers - what can we do to help?

I have a memory that we have had threads from dairy farmers on here before, explaining how desperate the situation is financially. I assume it’s now got a whole lot worse?

I learnt today that Arla was a cooperative of farmers. Obviously I want as much money as possible to go to the farmers, is this the best way to facilitate that? What products should I be avoiding?

Unfortunately it’s not just dairy farmers. Beef, lamb and other livestock are being hit very badly. Dairy is more immediate as the product is created every day. It’s so complex - best bet is to always buy British (usually has a Union Jack on the packaging) to support British farmers and reduce our reliance on imports.

The best way to support our farmers is to like the above poster says buy uk produce that is produced and packed in the uk.

The other thing is to check what the buying policy is of the shops you buy from if you can find that information as historically some buyers for example certain supermarkets have policies that put tremendous strain on farmers and producers to sell for tiny prices and have huge volumes which means that they may only be making say 2p on a pint of milk etc it has left some farmers always chasing just go survive but never able to thrive.
