Moving to Nova Scotia

DH has a potential job offer over in Canada (Nova Scotia) for the end of this year. So would involve 4 of us moving DS (3) and DS (1).

I was just wondering if there is anyone on here that has moved from UK to Canada and any info or helpful advice?

Thanks!

Canada is a lovely place to live, especially with children. We were gutted when we had to come home and tried to move heaven and earth to go back! Nova Scotia is absolutely beautiful, we holidayed there several times in lovely courage on the water (the Canadians call it cottaging!). Am very jealous!

Winter is very cold and snowy, summer is hot and beautiful. Spring and fall are gorgeous though tend to be short lived.

Quality of life is awesome. Am jealous!

Hi, I know this is an old thread. But did you move to Nova Scotia in the end?
Dh is in the same boat, has a potential job offer, so us and Dd1 are looking at moving to a town an hour from Halifax. Xx

Colin and Justin (the Scottish property/interior designers) moved to Nova Scotia about a year ago, their Facebook page is interesting reading about the area and their experiences.

Oh thank you! I’ll go give them a follow and have a read through!
