There was a thread recently about toasters that cool toast evenly....

...and everyone seemed to recommend a particular toaster.

Can anyone help me shed light on what the make was?

I've searched a few times and can't find the thread.

I just made some toast and my twat toaster cooked 1/4 of the bloody bread Hmm

They always seem to start off well, and shortly become crap.

I’d like to know too- I have to turn the bread round and toast it again otherwise only half gets toasted. It looks like me when I’ve been out in the sun- half tanned and the other half all pasty white Grin

Can't link the thread on the app but there was a thread on Saturday and a lot of people recommending this one direct.asda.com/george/home/kettles-toasters/4-slice-toaster-cream/050462846,default,pd.html?cgid=D26M10G10C06

Sorry also no idea how to do clicky links

I just turn the toast or have it uneven but I don’t care because my kettle and toaster are aesthetically fabulous 😂

I have just bought a Breville twin slot from Amazon UK which is easily tall enough to toast a slice of Warburtons (their claim and yes it does). Very even toasting throughout and good not to have about a quarter of the bread poking out the top as i had with my previous one.

Ok I've got a confession of idiocy to make.

When I was searching for the thread in question I found other threads and read them to help me find my answer (Btw I think the answer might be 'Dualit') and I kept seeing people saying "just turn it over".

And I don't as was thinking that loads of people with shit toasters were putting the toaster on its side for a better result.

Now I realise they meant, turn the toast over. So it toasts evenly!!

That wasn't it! It wasn't this month, it was a couple of months ago.

You're no help! (But thank you're for trying 💖)

A Dualit is what you need. Not one of these new cheaper version but the more expensive one. Toasts perfectly and I'm convinced my toast tastes toastier in it. Grin

I have a Dualit but I have to toast the slices landscape and it only fits Hovis and even they have to be patted in.
