Thanks for reading!
I got a ticket in March. Got the nip and returned it couple days later mailed it in the postbox in Morrisons.

Or so I thought!! Just tipped out my work bag and found the letter. I think I've mailed an empty envelope! It was the first few days of the corona panic.

The 28 days was up on the 10th April. I want to vomit with panic.

Any advice except phone them tomorrow and beg?

Yes ring them and explain. They are people too and our dept would probably give you another week or so.
Ours is really behind though with hundreds of calls bring taken everyday because obviously all courses etc have been cancelled. It is night mare right now but definitely try speak to someone we not monsters Smile good luck!

ivykaty44 · 16/04/2020 21:35

Oh dear
Post it now and see what happens

aquamarine1 · 16/04/2020 21:38

I've been late with it and they just send a reminder so wouldn't worry.

Post it now, and make a note of the date that you did. You’ll probably be fine, most police forces send a reminder (although they are not obliged to do so)

nevernotstruggling · 16/04/2020 21:38

@PinkBuffalo thank you so much! I thought I hadn't had a reply because of backlog you describe.

Do you send reminder letters?

Shatandfattered · 16/04/2020 21:41

Bloody hell you've just reminded me I've received a reminder and still haven't responded! Oh god

nevernotstruggling · 16/04/2020 21:46

@Shatandfattered shall we puke together? 😂

Yes reminder letters get sent but definitely best if you contact them first. Like I say they are very behind but it not their fault (550 answerphone messages to respond to a day is pretty tough going!) they doing their best I promise! Try not to worry too much. Do not know about your force, but our people are nice if you do not abuse the on the phon. If you have email address on the letter, even better send an email (with your reference number as the heading)

nevernotstruggling · 16/04/2020 22:16

Thanks @PinkBuffalo there's no internet comma on the form at all I would have been right on that.
It's Devon and Cornwall

In that case try and call tomorrow. If you have real trouble getting to talk to anyone their website says email their non emergency number on [email protected] (I think, it would not let me paste it here!) and they can forward to the right dept for you.
Try not to worry too much, sounds like you going to get it sorted. It will be ok

PinkBuffalo · 16/04/2020 22:36

Their email might be [email protected] (we got rid of the pnn in ours, but not know about them) sorry if I confusing you.

nevernotstruggling · 16/04/2020 22:43

Thank you @PinkBuffalo I feel better. We still have the pnn

I did send mine back before all the virus stuff kicked off. I was hoping it would all be swept under the carpet given the lockdown, but no. I had to do my speed awareness course online last week. It was a good course but I've not driven my car for a month anyway, so prob forgotten how to drive at all).

PinkBuffalo · 17/04/2020 17:00

That is great to hear OP! so glad you feel happier Smile
