Would you book your summer 2021 holiday now & looking on Tui , they seem more expensive ?

Just that really , looked a few weeks ago and it appears some places have gone up a few hundred pounds . I think I will hold back on booking - just don’t know what’s going to happen !

We are waiting for them to cancel our May half term holiday. We looked at rebooking for October, which had been cheaper when we first looked but decided to go for May, they want an extra £600 on top of what we have already paid in full!
Tui have literally thousands of people waiting for refunds and are not communicating.

I have to pay the remaining 4k on our July holiday this month. If its cancelled I wont rebook for next year if it's more expensive. It was going to be our last holiday with our teen. Next year I doubt he would come with us.

We decided today to book nothing at the moment - even knowing that if we do, we can probably get refunds etc.

Everything is SO uncertain - and if there are lockdowns/relaxations/lockdowns etc, we may not reach absolute stability economy/travel-wise etc for some time

They may be anticipating flights being more expensive if some/more airlines fail as a result of this.

It may also be that you’ve visited the site repeatedly and so they know to put the price up. Clear your cookies or go on the site again on incognito mode

@Fabpinky is right, they do that and start putting up banners saying there is only one booking of that type left.

Better still, see if the same hotel is available via Jet2. Cheaper, better value and better experience all round.

I have tried to cancel a weekend booking and it’s been a nightmare, Flybe went bust so waiting on a refund, hotel via third party won’t pay out, concert tickets have been refunded no questions asked!! So will use them again. Rebooked another flight and they aren’t responding.

Shows how difficult it is to deal with some companies.

Have to say, I doubt many people will book so far in advance when things are back to normal. Not worth the difficulties.

Yes I know it’s unusual and things are slow, but when you can’t even find a phone number to contact these places, makes you think twice.
