We have them for our daughter. They have been invaluable to us as she is not able to cope with pads or tampons. They are expensive but worth it in our estimation.

Addler · 16/04/2020 16:46

I have modibodi and they're great. I was very sceptical before trying as I didn't see how they wouldn't leak or smell or feel gross, but I've been pleasantly surprised! They're so comfy and a pair will last all day with no leaks or feeling of dampness at all. And better for the environment which was my biggest plus

Lardlizard · 16/04/2020 16:47

If you wan to
Try then how
Many pairs should you start with ?

I have modibodis for me and got some for DD. One word or warning is their Red range for teens is sized really really small.

I got 4 pairs for her as they do take longer to dry I find.

SecretWitch · 16/04/2020 17:07

Find a company you like and see if they offer “starter packs”. We bought our daughter one from Thinx. It came with four different styles of pants and allowed her to ability to decide which one she was most comfortable with.

BroomstickOfLove · 16/04/2020 17:53

I have Modibodi and they are expensive but so, so good. I used to leak through a mooncup and super night time towel at night, and with the period pants, my sheets are fine. It took me a while to risk wearing one during the day, but I'm slightly disturbed by how good they are because I don't quite understand how they are so much better than pads. But they are. No leaks, feel comfortable all day long.

LoopyGremlin · 16/04/2020 17:57

I’ve got Modibodi pants for nighttime and would definitely recommend, although they are quite pricey if you are buying several pairs.

Happywith2 · 16/04/2020 18:20

So do you just wear the pants and how long do you wear them for?
Really want to try but nervous about it.
Also do you just wash with other clothes or separate?

ItchySeveredFoot · 16/04/2020 18:24

I use reusable pads and now have 2 pairs of modibodi period pants. I love them! Definitely plan on getting more. I just bought 2 of the super absorbent ones so I can wear them no matter how heavy I am. I wash my reusable pads and the period pants separately at 30 degrees. I shower and then put on a pair and I'm good all day.

FredaFox · 16/04/2020 18:25

I’ve been tempted with these for a while

SellFridges · 16/04/2020 18:27

They’re great. I only use disposable pads for the first night of my period now.

CaptSkippy · 16/04/2020 18:31

I have been wanting to try it, but I have such a heavy flow. Do you need to wash them separately? I can't imagine you just throw them into the washing machine.

paddler78 · 16/04/2020 18:33

Cheeky wipes are also very good and a bit more cost effective, we've also tried these which are very good as well https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YW8Z89C/ref=cmswwemrrmtawdoo_HAjMEb95P95FN

Lobster12345 · 16/04/2020 19:32

Have the Modi ones and they're great. I was very sceptical at first that they wouldn't smell or feel damp but I haven't found that to be the case at all. I quickly went on to buy another few pairs. Should add I have very light flow though

Lionsleepstonight · 16/04/2020 19:32

I initially bought 5 modi bodies, its one of their bundles. I go though 1 or 2 a day depending on flow and pant type. I then bought 5 more as they can take a while to dry and i much prefer them to tampons and pads. I really recomend them and they are worth the investment.

Lardlizard · 16/04/2020 22:43

Ok, I’ll give them
A try then

Thanks for the advice

I got the cheeky wipes ones. Sport style. I really love them.

KindKylie · 16/04/2020 22:52

I still use super plus tampons but now have the cheeky wipes pants instead of a pad with them. They're brilliant and I've had no clothing leaks since I started using them compared to often having to change my trousers with pads.

Nomorewineever · 16/04/2020 22:56

I’ve got the love Luna ones from Sainsbury’s - as a first try. They’re pretty good. I wear them alone and I’d say I have a heavy flow day 1, but a bit more regular day 2 and 3 and they cope with those days no problem. Not sure I’d risk it day one!

You just wash as normal in with other stuff - they dry very quickly.

I would say if you want them for overnight then go for ones where the absorbent part goes right to the front or back. These ones are just a gusset part. For the money they are good but I will be buying some others and intend to buy them for DD when needed.

Lardlizard · 16/04/2020 22:58

Just been on the Modibodi website and you can get a 30 day trial if you don’t like you can get your money back

elliejjtiny · 16/04/2020 23:03

I use them and they are great although I use a reusable pad as well, the period pants are just to catch any leaks. I have really heavy periods though including clots the size of golf balls (sorry for tmi) so they might work on their own for women who have lighter periods.

Lardlizard · 16/04/2020 23:06

My periods are vv heavy only recently I shed a decidual cast 😵

NeutralJanet · 16/04/2020 23:06

I've had a look at the modibodi ones and think I will order a pair of the seam free bikinis for DD, hoping they will be high cut enough on the legs not to show under a dance leotard.

hippohector · 17/04/2020 00:08

Has anybody tried the swim wear ones?
