I just don't know how to feel. Last night I got a text from Coppafeel saying to check my boobs. So I did

I found a pea sized lump in my boob and I emailed my Gp this afternoon when I got up after my night shift. 10 mins later he rings me and books me in for an appointment in an hour.

Off I toddle to the appointment thinking this is a bit overkill, but fine fair enough. Lady Gp has a feel and can also feel the lump. I left the appointment with another appointment for Monday morning at the breast clinic.

She's put me on the 2 week pathway despite my age (29) and we have to hope that they don't cancel it because of my age. But my mum had breast cancer at 38 and it came back at 40. And 4 of her cousins had it before age 50, all are dead apart from my mum.

Bollocks

It is always good to get this looked at as quickly as possible and many times it is harmless.
I will say prayers for you and please keep posting here with updates.

You did the right thing by contacting your gp. Hope all goes well for you. Take care Flowers

You are doing all the right things and as a PP said the best thing is to check it out sooner rather than later.
I wish you good luck and hope the time goes quickly xxxx

Be sure to ask your Gp to explain your family history to them, or phone and explain it yourself Thanks

Thanks I just feel so weird. It feels like the calm before the storm

Hopefully it's nothing. Even without your family history you'd likely have been on the 2 week pathway. I was at age 25 and 29 with similar - both were nothing so I hope you have the same result but even if you don't then chances are you've caught it early and cancer care has moved on since your family members were treated.

Will the breast clinic allow DH in with me?

I'd doubt it tbh but you could call and check. Here they aren't allowing partners in for things like pregnancy scans so I think it's unlikely.
