Lockdown napping - are you doing it?

Are you finding you are napping more than you used to if you're at home, not working, kids are older etc? I'm far less active and far more tired - wtf?!

Hoping I'm not the only lazy arse to get into a bad napping habit.

I get up at 6am to start working, by 2.30pm I am ready for a nap. I managed about 2 mins whilst the dc were listening to a podcast, feeling a bit more human again now!

I'm middle aged with a teen, working FT @ home, and would love to be able to nap in the afternoons as my nighttime sleep is utter cr@p at the moment. Just not possible though....

@DailyKegelReminder Please share your secrets. Mine hates napping (luckily sleeps through, but still have nap envy!)

heartonastring · 16/04/2020 16:34

No, I get really cranky after a nap. Love the idea of it though!

IHaveBrilloHair · 16/04/2020 16:41

Ues, I often nap on and off all day now.
Its just me at home, I get sleepy and it passes more time that I cant go out, (shield ing)

Funkytowns · 16/04/2020 16:42

I love a nap but I have a toddler so there’s no hope of getting any naps in!

TwoZeroTwoZero · 16/04/2020 16:45

I nap in the afternoon anyway if I'm not working so this is not different for me. I'm actually trying not to though because my night time sleep is going to shit as I'm so inactive!

Thunderthighs

You mix one part chloroform... Grin

Nothing I've done I'm afraid, DD just loves her sleep!

vanillandhoney · 16/04/2020 17:56

I'm home alone with the dog as my business is shut but DH is still working. I've been sleeping in much later than normal and having the occasional afternoon nap!

It's bliss tbh Grin

I’m a key worker on the front lines. On my days off I love an afternoon hours nap. It’s helping my ongoing tiredness!

bettertimesarecomingnow · 16/04/2020 18:25

I have an afternoon nap every 2/3 days - I love it!

Usually about 330-5 then make the dinner

Kids get screen time then so they are delighted too! I do love a good nap!!

Itstheprinciple · 16/04/2020 19:59

Love a nap, lockdown or not. Naps in the sun are becoming a bit of a habit at the moment.

ParkheadParadise · 16/04/2020 20:02

Yes I am.
I've persuaded dd to join me. She now goes and gets her cosy blanket and we both lie on the sofa for an hour or two.
