Anyone from Horsham

Can anyone help. We are relocating to Horsham in the summer (assuming lockdown finished). Because of the lockdown we can't visit in advance. We are looking to rent somewhere and are looking online. Can anyone tell me what the area near Horsham train station is like, we are looking at places around new street, oakhill road etc. Thank you

I don't live in Horsham but I know the area a little bit. Stay near to littlehaven station. Much nicer. Roffey not so nice.

Oakhill road/New st okay but IMHO west Horsham (Rushams Road/Trafalgar area) is the nicest area in walking distance of the station. Kempshott/Swindon Road area vvv nice and decent size houses. Schools may also help drive your choice - all good, but you need to be in West Horsham if you are looking at Tanbridge (mixed sex) rather than the single sex secondaries (although this does include Millais which is a great girl's school) - these are east Horsham catchment (dividing line North Heath lane).

Have visited many times. New St and Oakhill are fine and safe areas but I agree the west side of the town round the Trafalgar Rd area is nicer. Horsham is nice though, great for kids. Littlehaven is too far out for a walk to town. Horsham has good train links to London and easy access to the coast. Good park

I grew up there and it's a beautiful part of the world. Millais is a fantastic school. If you look a bit further out Kerves Lane has amazing houses and Mannings Heath is a beautiful local village.
