Anyone managed to successfully order anything?

I tried yesterday at 8:30am and they’d already reached their daily order capacity, same today at 7:30 it seems!

I managed yesterday about 7.15. I went on this morning out of interest at 6.45am and it said they were already closed then. I wonder if they open at midnight, in which case they probably sold out early hours of the morning.

Cacaca · 15/04/2020 07:50

I tried about 3am (didn’t waken especially for this) and it was still showing closed. Wasn’t sure if that was still from yesterday though. Tried just after 7 and no joy.

ColdTapwater · 15/04/2020 07:51

Nope, I've been trying for days Sad Does anyone know what time the orders open? Happy to set my alarm for Midnight just to get some Baby bits!

inwood · 15/04/2020 07:56

I thought they had resuspended it until tomorrow, it's just open for browsing at the moment?

sunfloweryy · 15/04/2020 08:03

Might try midnight tonight then if I can keep myself awake!

I just went on but only open for children and home.

Bagelsandbrie · 15/04/2020 08:10

Haven’t been able to get anything - closed today already... desperately need some bits for ds who seems to have had a growth spurt!

TellerTuesday4EVA · 15/04/2020 08:15

I was on the website at 7:15 & it had the closed message but as I was browsing I noticed one item had an add to bag button so I did that and then managed to add my full order, just checked out about 7:45ish. I'm not sure exactly how it's working but I'd just keep an eye on it & keep trying

motherofawhirlwind · 15/04/2020 08:16

It's resetting at 8am. Closed within 10 minutes.

lockdownstress · 15/04/2020 08:17

Why are people so desperate for next? Supermarkets sell children's clothes, much cheaper too. Don't understand this angst.

Cacaca · 15/04/2020 08:18

Just managed to add baby clothes to my bag but not curtains - need the curtains more than I need the clothes 😫😫

motherofawhirlwind · 15/04/2020 08:19

It was definitely still closed at 7:30/7:35 so maybe 7:45 then? I was going on earlier to check if my returns had been processed, and then went back after seeing this thread but wasn't quick enough to order. Just want a gift for a new baby!

sunfloweryy · 15/04/2020 08:19

@lockdownstress no angst and I’m not desperate - just asking thanks Smile

Yesterday they opened at 7 and were closed again by 8.30. I managed an order for pyjamas for the weed like children at 7.15. I wonder if they are opening at random times to avoid being predictable and people flooding the site as soon as they open.

GreyishDays · 15/04/2020 08:21

Some people are trying to not go to a supermarket, lockdownstress

lockdownstress · 15/04/2020 08:23

@Greyishdays but most people need to buy food. One trip to tesco to buy some kids clothes isn't the end of the world assuming you're not shielding , or online from somewhere else. Next isn't the only shop in the world and everyone seems obsessed by it.

memh · 15/04/2020 08:26

I managed to place an order at 7:45. It still said all over the website that they were closed but it allowed me to add items to my basket and proceed to payment. Got my confirmation email and everything as usual. Only worked on my phone though, my laptop was having major issues connecting to the page.

Bagelsandbrie · 15/04/2020 08:30

My son has autism and sensory difficulties and Next joggers and shorts are the only ones that fit him comfortably. We’ve tried tesco, asda, h and m etc etc but the waistbands are too hard and have the labels sewn in the wrong place to be completely removed. I would buy them somewhere else if I could, and yes I will have to make do if I can’t get them but would like to get some from next if I can!

GameSetMatch · 15/04/2020 08:33

It wouldn’t even open for me to browse, I’m desperate for the boys leggings no other shop sells them.

ThatsNotMyName123 · 15/04/2020 08:37

I managed to on Monday, but only because that had literally just opened the website, and I just so happened to see the article on FB as it was published, so I guess many wouldn't of seen it at that point. Of course now, everyone is trying

lettersbyowl · 15/04/2020 08:40

@lockdownstress I am trying to buy newborn sized clothes. I am really struggling to find any, anywhere. Next are fully stocked. Seeing as under this situation I can't get the stuff to decorate my nursery, have my DH with me for the whole of my labour, have any of the birth choices I want, have all of my antenatal appointments and care I would have had, have my family and friends meet my baby when she arrives... etc etc etc - I think wanting to pick some vests and baby gros for my first born should be ok. Thanks for suggesting the supermarket though, I'd have done that if I could go to one without fear of catching the virus when heavily pregnant 🙄

sunfloweryy · 15/04/2020 08:40

@lockdownstress why come on a thread about Next if you don’t like it?

Stop policing threads. Next is open and so there is nothing wrong with trying to place an order. The whole of MN doesn’t have to talk about bloody lockdown.

I went on at 7am, it still said closed on the main page but was letting me add to basket. So I did and put a large order through! Got email confirmation/money taken so hopefully it will arrive. Also worked better on my phone, the website seemed to crash on my laptop.

HariboBrenshnio · 15/04/2020 08:43

Still lots unavailable even in children's wear but was able to get some new season stuff in boys & girls.

AlfieandAnnieRose · 15/04/2020 09:28

It’s now open! @sunfloweryy
