Do you know anyone who has had an indoor oil leak from an oil boiler?

And did they have the surrounding plaster/wood/ concrete removed or did the spill & smell evaporate soon enough?

This has happened to me.....foolishly I hadn’t had the boiler serviced so I doubt I can claim on my house insurance. The boiler is 15 yo so it might be best to replace if I have to have the concrete and plaster removed.

We had our oil boiler replaced, wow did the oil bills come down, the modern ones are more efficient. Never had a leak inside so cannot advise there.

@Just how old was your boiler when you replaced it? A few years ago when I last got mine serviced I was told it was doing ok. No parts were required.

It was 15 years, no parts needed, they really are very reliable. OH read up on efficiency and decided it needed replacing.
