My brother and his wife had their first baby today. Little boy, all happy and healthy 😍 This is my first time being an Auntie, so excited!

Ahh congratulations! Being an auntie is brilliant, I'm sure you'll love it! And your little nephew is very lucky to have an auntie so happy about his arrival.

Lovely to see a happy thread amongst all the sad/scary ones Flowers

Congratulations! Being an auntie is so much fun. All of the best bits none of the bum wiping and broken sleep Grin.

A fabulous day to have a birthday, my first niece turned 5 years old today 💗

BasilDiffuser · 14/04/2020 18:47

I love being an auntie. My niece lights up my life. She’s so so different to DD. It’s nice to have time with a different but equally lovely little girl.

G3ntlemanJack · 14/04/2020 19:15

I can't wait to see him! I think it's going to be a while, sadly. And I am SO looking forward to the fun auntie stuff!

Thanks everyone! We have a large extended family but I fully intend to be the favourite auntie 😉

I still remember how excited I was to be an Auntie! Congratulations!!

Dieu · 15/04/2020 09:58

Whoo hoo! Congratulations on being an auntie SmileThanks

Carouselfish · 15/04/2020 10:05

Congrats but speaking from experience try not to muscle in on the mother. It's her baby and your brother's of course but she went through the birth and has the hormones. You're extended family which doesn't really have to mean anything unless you're very close.

MashAndChips · 15/04/2020 10:09

Congratulations @G3ntlemanJack, being an auntie is lovely! 💕 I've got a whole herd of little nephews and it's wonderful. Smile

Rainb0w · 15/04/2020 12:25

Congratulations!! Becoming an auntie for the first time was one of my favorite ever days.

G3ntlemanJack · 15/04/2020 14:06

Fish - what?! Where have I said I'm planning to muscle in on the mother?!?

Extended family doesn't mean anything?? We are all close. I'm struggling to understand the point of your post?

How lovely to hear some good news! Congratulations.

DramaAlpaca · 15/04/2020 14:33

Awww lovely news!

fizzybootlace · 15/04/2020 14:48

Bit much carouselfish. Sorry if you had overbearing family but in many families aunties and uncles are considered close family, definitely in mine.

Of course new mums need space, and may naturally be a bit nervous and clingy with first baby but you'll easily find your place even if it takes a little time.

Being an auntie is brilliant and it's a different relationship than being a mum, which is what makes it so great!!

Congratulations to you all Flowers

fizzybootlace · 15/04/2020 14:49

Was meant to be flowers not a bear!! I guess that works too!!

AdoptedBumpkin · 15/04/2020 14:50

Congratulations X
