Any sourdough starter users?

I have a starter, now im confused.
Should it be kept in or out of the fridge?
if i want to make 2 loaves a week, do i have to discard the mix?
what, other than bread, do you make with your starter?

Keep it in the fridge while inactive. When you activate it with more flour and water leave it out. There are lots of recipes for spare starter, we've just used ours for pancakes. Shame to waste it!
