Hayfever this year. Worse than ever.

Never hayfever until I moved to London. Every year, it gets worse and worse. It started about two weeks ago and I know it will last into May.

My throat and mouth are incredibly itchy, eyes are itchy too (but less so) and very puffy. Sneezing and having to blow my nose lots, but this is no big deal compared to the bloody itchiness.

What can I take or do? Cetirizine and loratidine (sp?) which I buy over the counter do nothing at all. I’ve heard of eating honey from local bees every day for six months before symptoms start but obviously it is too late for that.

Well, I’ve used the nasal spray and the eye drops today and I’ve had a much better time of it! I haven’t been outside as much, but I’ve felt so much better. Maybe it’s a combination of lower pollen, not being outside much and the spray and drops. I will do the same again tomorrow, when I will be outside more, and then I can compare.

Thanks for the recommendations! The allergy tablets are arriving at the weekend.
