I'm usually an M&S person but have seen some lovely stuff pop up in the Ted Baker sale which makes them in my price range.

I'm about 2 stone overweight and on a diet! I am currently between a 12 and 14 up top depending on the syle of the top (tight/loose).

I've never bought anything from TB before so am asking those who have how generous or not their sizes are.

Would you recommend I go for a 12 or a 14?

Thanks

Been years since I bought Ted Baker stuff - May check out the sale now! - but I don't recall them being generous. I'd size up.

I love Ted Baker. I’m a size 8 and I find it comes up small so I buy a size 10.

I would go for the 14 to be on the safe side. But then if you’re continuing to lose weight why not go for the 12 as some inspiration?

In comparison I also shop in M&S and find that comes up big. I wear a size 6 !

Thanks folks - you've confirmed what I was thinking - best to size up.

@DazzlingDee - sadly I've got a wardrobe full of stuff I'm going to slim into!!! I am planning on losing it sensibly over the next 8 months to a year so I will have a load of "new" clothes then!

Their sizing is minute!

Do size up.
I generally come up as a 12/14 in regular clothes but depending on the style and cut of top of dressed (usually around the sleeve/armpit area) I have had to buy a size 5 before.
I’m going to have a browse of the sales, I have a love/hate opinion of their stuff. I love their classic dresses and trousers, they sometimes have beautiful knitwear, but really don’t like their tendency to have one sleeve on things and the asymmetric stuff.
When I go in, I can usually find 2 or 3 things out of the entire shop that I’m interested in.
Will check out what they’ve got on sale now.
