Tooth cavity

I have a tooth cavity on the side of my tooth, it’s not too painful at the moment, mostly sensitive. But I know if I leave it it will get worse and I’ll probably have to have a root canal which would be a nightmare.
As dentists are not open presently (except for emergencies) are there any home remedies I can do as a temporary solution? I really really don’t want to have a root canal or have my tooth removed ☹️

Most chemists sell temporary filling kits OP. You need to get your tooth dry with cotton wool first then place the temporary.

@seaofbleu thank you. I’ve had a look online and they seem to be for fixing dislodged fillings and broken teeth so I’m not sure if they would do the job for a cavity.

It doesn't matter; it will do the job and tide you over.
