Complete these three sentences, that are all prefaced with the phrase “after the lockdown”.

People will start...
People will stop...
The biggest change will be...

I’ll go first. After the lockdown:

People will start spending more time outdoors.
People will stop caring so much about celebrities.
The biggest change will be people spending less money, for a whole host of reasons.

People will start visiting their family and friends on a more regular basis than they did previously.
People will stop travelling - especially business travel.
The biggest change will be working from home will become the norm for most former office-based roles.

People will start valuing healthcare workers, teachers, binmen etc a bit more
People will stop going to A&E for cut fingers, ingrown toenails and other trivial matters

Biggest change... More home holidays, less foreign travel

DJMumzy · 12/04/2020 19:03

People will start believing in society and socialism

People will stop voting Tory

The biggest change will be a newly found sense of social justice.

I can dream but in reality I think that fuck all will change.

I too think very little will change... yes to begin with people will visit families and friends, hold street parties, etc which is all good. I really was hoping for less foreign travel and more wfh purely to reduce carbon emissions. But I think travel abroad will boom once lockdowns are lifted. So uplifting to see stories about skies appearing clearer and people in some Northern Indian states being able to see the Himalayan ranges when usually they can't because of smog. But I don't think any positives coming out of this will last.

TheCanterburyWhales · 12/04/2020 19:18

People will start abusing doctors and nurses again when they get pissed on a Saturday night

People will stop pretending they have to go out to exercise and will revert to doing what they always did- fuck all.

No change. Take more than a pandemic, as threads on here have shown.

WineGummyBear · 12/04/2020 20:59

People will start selling their flats/appartments in central London as they now prioritise having a garden and can do more home working.

People will stop travelling so much for work. (Totally proven that much of it is unneccesary)

The biggest challenge will be getting the economy back on its feet.
