Anyone know about Id phone network

Frantically looking for a new phone deal - current phone has half a screen.

I have seen some good deals on this network but never heard of it?
Its about half the price of Vodafone/o2/ee etc but wondered what the con was?

Has anyone got any recommendations/experience either way?
Was thinking of extending to the iPhone 11 on it if the network is good?

All of 4 of us use ID. It is so cheap and part of carphone warehouse although now they have gone into administration so not sure of who they will become part of!! My husband changed from EE first just in case they weren't very good. Now all 4 of us are on ID and no problems at all. We get so much more data than on the bigger networks for £5 a month each. The only slight tiny issue is it is harder to get a reception at the bottom of our kitchen which was fine before. But we just make sure we aren't at the bottom of the kitchen on the phone. My DD loves it as she never runs out of data!!!!

All 3 of us with them on £5pm deals, slightly worse package for the money as we each transferred over. Not noticed any difference in local coverage compared to other networks I've been on. Always buy phones outright and have a SIM only deal.

I think they piggy back on Vodaphone's network so signal shouldn't be an issue. I've heard of them as part of the carphone warehouse family but don't have any experience.

I had a terrible experience with ID. I was sent a blocked phone, which I obviously couldn't use. I had numerous trips to Carphone Warehouse to try to get them to resolve it, but the people at ID refused to even believe the staff at Carphone Warehouse. It was a real struggle to cancel my contract and get a refund. Hopefully my experience was a one off, but it was incredibly stressful at the time.

Both my step kids are on id, no issues, great service in fact they have a better signal than my O2. I'm hoping they keep going with Caroline warehouse going bust cos I was looking to swap to them when my contract runs out later this year.

A couple of years ago we got phones for my elderly in-laws and got ID sims. They've been fine, no problems.

I’ve been on them for years, think it’s 3 they use. I used to get full 4G in areas my dh had one bar on.
