I fancy a leisurely late lunch somewhere beautiful by the riverside. Who's coming and what are you having to eat?

As it's Easter Sunday, I thought I'd have a lovely walk along the river in the sunshine, and stop off somewhere relaxed and beautiful to have a delicious lunch. As it happens I've just had a peep at the menu and it's extremely extensive, and caters for all tastes! So I am going to have a very chilled glass of Pinot Grigio, followed by mussels in white wine to start, with crusty bread for dipping. Followed by mustard pork shank. Are you coming? I have a huge table overlooking the river.... you can see groups of people walking past, friends having picnics, boaters and yachts. But, my big corner table is empty so I need lots of friends to all come and squish in. Will you come and have lunch and what are you ordering :)

@haba thank you! It's from Ted Baker, it was originally purchased for a wedding but I think now is just as appropriate!

I'm also going to have to come back tomorrow, there are so many dishes to choose from on here!

I am also wearing a Ted Baker dress. It was bought for my son's christening but has also gone to a wedding. Luckily it has a bit of stretch as I am still very full :)

I’m having a great evening, not wearing anything exciting, just jeans and a nice top. But I have done my hair and I’m wearing makeup for the first time in AGES 😁. It’s great to be out

I'd love a crab salad please, with loads of really fresh stuff. A side order of chips, a pint of hop garden gold and for after, I'd like a cheese board with grapes and smelly cheeses and another pint of beer. Thankyouverymuch.

I'm afraid I don't have a nice dress on and my walking boots are rather muddy, so I left them outside the door. Sorry about my socks. But it's ever so lovely to see you all.

Plenty of room Al this one is a very large throw type affair, so we should be warm enough. I've for jeans on too, so we'll be the scruffy end of the table.

I don't know about you girls but I'm feeling a bit tiddly! Might have that pudding after all!

I’ll have a glass of wine to start with. For starters, just some bread and olives really. I think that I will order a casserole or lasagna for my main meal. I will finish up by having some tasty cheesecake or chocolate brownies for pudding.

It's not too late for me to squeeze in is it ,id like some very large very garlicky prawns and crusty bread to start please with a rare ribeye steak onion rings, mushrooms ,salad and chips to follow then something very chocolatey to finish with ,to drink I'd like a nice cold refreshing pint of cider please.
I could sit here all night it's so relaxing , if you are up to it in the morning why not pop into the cafe and say hello to @sashh I'm sure she would love to meet you all

Hi everyone, lovely to see you all. I’ve ordered a sweet cold cider. I’ll have mushroom soup & crusty bread to start. Then chicken in a white wine sauce with dauphinois potatoes, plus lots of vegetables. If I’ve got room for a pudding, I will have frangipani tart. It feels lovely to get dressed up and make the effort, doesn’t it. Funny how we are appreciating the simple things more now.

Lovely, so pleased to see some good Vegan options too! I've got a lovely ice cold Sauvignon Blanc and Vegan Middle Eastern tapas with a side of super salted shoestring fries. My husband has the baby tonight too so I can amble home on the last tube in the sticky summer heat and strike up silly conversations with tipsy strangers and sleep alone and have a lie in tomorrow too. Wonderful

Ffs you lot, so far today i have eaten hotcross buns, toasted crumpets, chocolate cake, crisps and a easter egg as well as a roast dinner 🐷 i now want, a pint of cold lager whilst i decide between prawn cocktail/garlic prawns, steak or gammon steak definitely something with cream,meringue and strawberries for pudding. All swallowed down with a pinot, merlot and champagne. Followed by a liquor coffee and the rest of the merlot with a cheese board whilst watching the twinkling solar lights. Thank you for a lovely time
