Morrisons online delivery tips/info please?

Those of you that are regular Morrisons delivery customers I've got first delivery booked.

How do they normally deliver & how are deliveries working now?

Is it usually bag free in totes but in bags for now?

Do they send an email on the day letting you see unavailable items & subs like Asda and Sainsburys do?

Anything else I need to know? Any tips?

I use them every week and have done for years. They deliver in bags (during coronavirus and before it). They’ll normally bring the bags in for you but they just leave them by the front door now. They’ll knock and unload them at your door but won’t pass the bags to you or take any old bags back.
You get an email receipt about 3-4 hours before the shop is due and can see any subs and missing items on that.

They don’t give you the substitutes for the same price as the product you originally ordered. Found this out when I ordered own brand pesto and they replaced it with Sacla pesto for £2.50 a jar!

Hi all of our recent Morrison delivery ( before lockdown) were in boxes which you carry in yourself, unpack and then return. Any substitutions or not available items are sent in an email beforehand, just like Sainsburys, and you can reject them when you unpack and leave them in the box for the delivery driver. Sometimes if they are ahead of time they might call your mobile to ask if they can deliver earlier. I hope this helps.

They left mine outside the door in bags and went back to the van and called me to say it was there.

I'm in a flat with door entry system and I have a long hall.

Other supermarkets been happy to put just inside my door which I prefer due to ocd think Morrisons will be ok with this?

Good to know about emails and pricing on subs. Sainsburys (my usual) charge you the sub price but refund via voucher which I hate

Ok, confused. Now have email re subs and missing items - fairly used to that at this point, but the amounts don't make sense? It's less than £5 difference but I have added up the items I'm receiving inc subs and it's not the same amount as I'm being charged.

Their total less my total is a difference of £3.34

And I cannot figure out why it's different.

Have you got any weighed items in there (eg loose apples)?

Sometimes it depends what the price file says on the day of delivery. If in doubt call customer services, they’re helpful.

Morrison’s have been brilliant getting slots a fortnight ahead is getting easier our big shop is once a fortnight, in bags and email before to let you know about subs ect.

Only one and wouldn't make that much difference in price

They've also just tried to deliver almost 2 hours early! I'm sure not a problem for some but I need to do some prep for them coming. He's coming back again in about an hour so still very early.
