How's your Easter Sunday going?

We're having a relaxing day doing nothing much. No housework/washing or anything like that (apart from the washing up...I swear next door drop theirs off after every meal Hmm ).

I've just put a blue dye on dd1's hair (will wash out hopefully). Dd2 was munching Easter egg while playing Minecraft. I suggested dying just the ends of her hair but she gave me a very funny look Grin

I wanted to start on the diamond painting kit I found yesterday, but also want to put Sunday dinner on so might leave it til tomorrow morning now.

How's your day going so far? What have you been up to?

Lovely day! Set up a big egg hunt for first thing, then a fancy themed breakfast and decorated bonnets. When DH arrived home at 11am, we did the Easter baskets for everyone and went on a walk. I roasted a
chicken and we had a really nice meal all together. We’ve been playing garden games this afternoon. DC are watching Peter Rabbit now, will be making pittas soon.

It's been ok. We had a nice morning doing egg hunts and rolling our eggs etc

But this afternoon I feel very lonely. I miss dp who lives in England and the man I left my husband for has been texting me, making me feel even worse. I've had to tell him to stop.

I feel very conflicted, down and fed up of this situation.

I just want it to end. ☹️

It's been lovely here. We had an egg hunt in the house, the dc did some colouring and have played Minecraft, we had a big breakfast and have eaten a fair amount of chocolate! It's been quiet, slow and peaceful. I'm bored now though.

I've been fairly productive today (on in the last hour though, I've eaten my body weight in cheese this afternoon)
I managed to get round to spray painting a dark wood console table a lighter colour so that my youngest can use it as a desk or a dressing table.
She saw one a similar shape in Ikea but it was £90, and the one in our garage is solid, not chip board.
I'm quite pleased with it.

@colouringinpro don't apologise! I asked how your day was going, I didn't mean just if it was going well! (He does sound like a shithead, and that's one of my favourite insults too Grin )

A bit rubbish. Ds and I are very bored now and I haven't been able to get any decent food to eat for ages.

I also had a slight row with dh.. he said what will the kids eat (they had a small roast earlier) so I got up and cooker for them and while I was going that he gave them chocolate eggs. So I stormed off and let him finish the cooking. He takes so much for granted and spends most of the day diy or at work so I do most of the hands on. I told him he took too much for granted (he literally doesn't make a sandwich for himself and sun shines out of his arse)
Anyway we did an Egg Hunt this morning. Kids three a tantrum. Cooked a roast. I got so fed up I painted a bedroom downstairs to get away from them all. Confused
Love the console table. It's great to get using stuff we already have.

Been nice actually. DH at work so leisurely morning reading the paper and then an hour long walk in the woods nearby. Visited elderly mum. Cooked roast beef in the oven and chanced potatoes daupinoise in the slow cooker - they worked. Rhubarb and ginger cheesecake for after. DD1 felt suitably guilty that she and DS had done nothing so she bought me an Easter Egg and they both did the dishes after dinner. Miracles will never cease.
Now having a glass of wine and will get back into my new book.
