I'm having a festival in my garden - who's playing?

The sun is shining, the tent is up and I'm having a festival in my garden.

James are playing the lunchtime slot and the Killers might headline later.

Who else needs to join today's very exclusive lineup for one?

Elbow
Stone Roses
The Cure
Foo Fighters

JenaWren · 12/04/2020 15:04

Ooh @iklboo - that's an awesome line up. I've seen Elbow and the Stone Roses but never the Foos.

Cure are a great choice for the late afternoon slot. They're up next!

Zoe needs to come on and do Sunshine on a Rainy Day

waterlego · 12/04/2020 15:05

Pulp please!

waterlego · 12/04/2020 15:05

The Proclaimers and Turin Brakes are also excellent live.

StrangerDaysAhoy · 12/04/2020 15:06

Are you having a Legends slot?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 12/04/2020 15:13

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Queen

JenaWren · 12/04/2020 15:26

Great suggestions. Keep them coming.

@StrangerDaysAhoy absolutely. The Jam may have been mentioned but I'm open to ideas!

Annoyingly I just found out the Stone Roses are headlining the second stage. Not sure I'll have enough time to get back for the Killers. Confused

Can we have Queens of the Stone Age please?

Apolloanddaphne · 12/04/2020 15:28

And Pink Floyd to do a chilled set around sunset. Thanks.

iklboo · 12/04/2020 15:29

Metallica for the Rock(ery) stage?

JenaWren · 12/04/2020 15:34

@waterlego love the Proclaimers but think there might a riot if they played 500 mile. Pulp are on the list thoughWink

@RafalsTheKingOfClay the Chillis are on too. Sadly Queen are social isolating.

@Apolloanddaphne absolutely yes to Queen's of the Stone Age. Unfortunately I couldn't get blue smarties for Pink Floyd's rider so they've refused to go onstage.

George Ezra
Bastille

Deathraystare · 12/04/2020 15:43

Well I insist on inviting myself if The Cure are playing! The rules don't apply if The Cure are playing, do they???!!!!

pinkyredrose · 12/04/2020 15:45

Dolly Parton for sure, she'd cheer anyone up!

SomewhereNow · 12/04/2020 15:47

Can The Who come please? Was meant to be seeing them last week and they’d definitely qualify for the Legends slot.

MasterCat · 12/04/2020 15:54

Ooh fab idea. I can contribute a bucket of cold cans, and some minging fruit gin I bought by accident.

Can Incubus play?

Youmeandborisbee · 12/04/2020 15:59

Pulp
Arcade Fire
The Pixies

SimonJT · 12/04/2020 16:03

Warm up Patrick Wolf, but about ten years ago when he was less odd.

Can we have Years and Years as a headliner? They’re doing (well one of them) some songs for my son later, so I can try and arrange a MN special!

trappedsincesundaymorn · 12/04/2020 16:05

James (good shout OP)
Supergrass
Oasis
Placebo
Beloved (for the chilled out vibe)
Blue Man Group

Where do I pitch my tent?

TheReluctantCountess · 12/04/2020 16:09
