What on earth could this be? (Possible TMI)

So I think this may be two separate issues but I really have no idea so I’ll explain everything.
I’ve had thrush on and off for several months, did a test at the doctors so confirmed. Several years ago I was given a course of tablets after antibiotics which worked a dream but now my doctor is putting off prescribing them and just keeps recommending canestan and that other one off tablet which just don’t do anything.

Second issue is that for several months I’ve had real issues pooing. The sensation is that the poo is just too big to push out and it feels like I’m tearing every time. There’s regularly little bits of blood when I wipe. More recently the pain feels like it’s actually on the inside and I can feel it now when I do poo, it’s incredibly painful when it’s about to come out even though I’ve done a lot to try to make it softer by changing diet. Then the last couple of nights I’ve had the most insane itching around my bum which almost feels a bit thrushy.

Could it possibly be the thrush has moved to my bum or is it a separate issue entirely? I’m much too embarrassed to ask my doctor and they’re only doing online consultations now anyway. Any remedies to try that I can buy at the pharmacy would be much appreciated.

If the blood when you wipe is red and fresh, most likely to be haemorrhoids.

Oh wow I’d never even considered that as I always thought they were external but the symptoms fit perfectly. Any tips for getting rid of them?

Internal Haemorrhoids or a small anal fissure are more likely. You can get cream from the chemist for the haemorrhoids.

Sounds like an anal fissure to me. Go to the GP!

I’m actually thinking now that could be it. I was stand up paddle boarding at the end of last summer and fell into the sea but one of my bum cheeks caught the paddle board and I was convinced I’d torn something as the pain was so intense. I had to keep checking I wasn’t bleeding so I wonder if that’s caused it.

Painkillers help for the burning pain of hemhorroids, there is a cream you can get from the pharmacy too, but ibuprofen is great.
