What's Everyone doing tomorrow for easter?

OP posts:

Family zoom, bits and bobs about the house
Then ---- dinner out with DH. Cooking and eating in the Motorhome on the drive, a few glasses of wine, listen to music. We might even stay over!

PoptartPoptart · 11/04/2020 19:10

I have a busy day planned for tomorrow, which will involve visiting a few different places.
I’m going to start in the bedroom, then move into the kitchen. I’ll probably pop into the lounge for awhile before taking a trip into the garden. Back and forth between the garden and the kitchen in the afternoon, before spending some time in the lounge again. Then I’ll finish off the day back where I started in the bedroom.
Oh, and I’ll probably have to make a few trips to the bathroom as well throughout the course of the day.
It’s going to be an exhausting.

Hide Easter eggs around the house for kids to find.
Some Easter crafts: dying eggs, Easter bonnets, those daffodils made of egg boxes.
BBQ at the allotment

Church via YouTube, roast pork either for lunch or tea, playing in the garden. Probably video call some relatives. And I have a letter to post so will take a short walk to the post box 🙂

ohmysoul · 11/04/2020 19:14

Zoom dawn Easter Sunday service, Easter egg hunt in the garden for DD. Online holy communion service at 10. DH's birthday so presents, cake and picnic lunch in the garden and then hopefully a glass of wine!

jackparlabane · 11/04/2020 19:22

Treasure hunts with clues for the kids to find their Easter eggs, make big roast dinner, teach Ds how to make Yorkshire puddings, make some IKEA furniture that's been awaiting other tasks now done...
Stroll to the forest, maybe. Phone ILs and parents.

To be honest, much like a usual Easter Sunday, only with more sending pics to family as we won't be seeing them soon.

CraftyGin · 11/04/2020 19:27

Online church in the morning.

Lamb for lunch.
Enjoying the lovely weather.
Family zoom in the evening.

teenagetantrums · 11/04/2020 19:29

Lie in and then work. Stop at shop on way home for wine..that's about it

eggerhunter · 11/04/2020 19:32

Kids will have eggs in the morning, then a hunt later on. OH coming over in the afternoon for more chocolate no doubt!

MeanMrMustardSeed · 11/04/2020 19:34

Church on YouTube, Easter egg hunt in the garden. Then I’ve also done a trail with clues in the house. Roast lamb and then a family film with snacks and plenty of gin (ending our Lenten fast!)!

BlackeyedSusan · 11/04/2020 19:35

Zoom church. Laying around doing nothing.

LaneBoy · 11/04/2020 19:41

It won’t really be different for us, as we don’t particularly celebrate other than the egg hunt in the morning. Still got to write the (nerdy/mathsy etc) clues tonight!

DS has put a sign up asking the Bunny to please wash his hands :o

No clue what we will have for lunch.

Will do our usual walk round the park by our house, hopefully it won’t be crowded (it’s been very quiet most of the time). Maybe stick some leaves and flowers on cardboard egg shapes with the toddler.

Hopefully play a board game or two and we will watch the Easter episode of Vicar of Dibley as we do every year

LaneBoy · 11/04/2020 19:41

Oh and we will watch rise of the guardians too which we also do every year!

EndoplasmicReticulum · 11/04/2020 19:45

Easter egg hunt for (too old for it really) teens in the morning. Big roast lunch. Lots of wine. Family Zoom later.

Pyjamaface · 11/04/2020 19:50

Egg sprints in the garden
Roast chicken for lunch/dinner/whenever I make it
Video chat with a couple of people
A walk at some point combined with driveway visit to DM over the road
Eat a lot of chocolate
Stop DS eating all his chocolate in a single day

maa1992 · 11/04/2020 19:52

DH is working a night shift, me and DS (6 months) will be having a nice day of nursery rhymes and baking, oh and I'm having a lamb roast 😄 I miss my mum terribly, so we'll probably FaceTime

Bigearringsbigsmile · 11/04/2020 19:52

YouTube church.
Easter egg hunt for my grown up kids if they will indulge me.
Roast lamb for lunch.
Maybe some board games? Garden time.
Wine.

VeryShortNotice · 11/04/2020 19:53

Well it’s Groundhog Day round here, so we’ll be doing what we’ve been doing every day. But with the added excitement of a chocolate egg each.

We’re not religious though, so the egg is just an excuse to eat some chocolate.

pinkazing · 11/04/2020 19:54

Easter bunny will drop off eggs, then breakfast and the Hop movie followed by lunch then egg hunt. Although DS isn’t sure if he’s getting eggs as haven’t been able to get out Wink

RedLemon · 11/04/2020 19:55

Family zoom, Easter egg hunt around the house, tidy some of the more invasively messy rooms, make toast lamb for the first time ever (bit nervous but have sufficient mint sauce to drown most mishaps I hope).

RedLemon · 11/04/2020 19:56

Roast! God, if I can’t even get that bit right😳

jelly79 · 11/04/2020 20:18

Easter hunt around the house / garden and maybe sneak a few on our walk.
Play in the garden
Slow cooked lamb
Chocolate / make scones for dessert

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe · 11/04/2020 20:52

I am doing a full on lunch..the dd 8 will be on an egg /treasure hunt all around the house and gardens and the dh who is a key worker and just finished night shift will rightly so plonk in front of the telly with his feet up munching chocolate. Its a sad time as we usually get together with family and make a weekend of it but It is what it is this year and we will make it the best day we can for our daughter.

80sMum · 11/04/2020 20:57

I shall be pottering about in the house and garden during the day, doing housework, tidying cleaning etc. In the late afternoon I will open the front door and go out for a 3 mile walk, same as today (didn't see a single other person today).

In the evening I will watch something on i-player or amazon while eating some chocolate!

sanityisamyth · 11/04/2020 21:00

My DS is with his father for most of the day so I'm going to get on with some uni work. I've set up an Easter egg hunt for when he gets back though - 5 rhyming clues (an answer in each room of the flat) with his Easter egg at the end. Should be fun!
